So I was thinking about all of the possible figures that could come from this license and I was thinking about a Fan Dance Uhura, which we will probably only ever see from the hands of a customizer, and I thought "As a Starfleet captain, how do you ask/order a female officer to strip naked and dance on a sand dune in the moonlight to lure enemy troops into a trap without getting charged with sexual harrassment?"

I was looking thru Yahoo and saw there were a lot of Trek groups, but none just for action figures, so I created one. If you collect or customize Trek figures and want another place to post your collection, come on over. Startrekactionfigures-subscribe@yahoogroups.comCCC.

Not bothered about the ERTL stuff, however I am loving the Mego Star Trek figures, although isn't Uhura in the wrong color, I could be wrong though.

That was a few years ago, I may try to do a better color match. Still, when you consider how far off some of the others are... CCC.

I agree but they still look good how did you make the Uhura?
I can see parts of Dekker and Illia in there, but the head escapes me.

This is an older shot, scanned from a polaroid. You can see I have 2 sets, the factory version and the light blue repaints, which I am still trying to relocate and rephotograph. CCC.

Today we are looking at my customized Galoob TNG set. In addition to the regular characters, we have Picard from Tapestry, Thomas Riker, and Commander Maddox from Measure of a Man, as well as Ro Laren. There are also red and yellow variant versions of LaForge and Worf. If you look close enough, you might see a Borg or 2. This is not some mysterious unknown figure, it is a PVC that happens to be in scale. I removed it from it's base and heat adjusted the legs to make it stand. Eventually I intend to make a mold of the Borg and create a poseable figure of it. CCC.

So I was looking at Stewbacca's collection and thinking about how it bugs me to see things in a "collection" that don't seem to go together. No I won't cite an example, but we are individuals with individual tastes, and as much as something like this might 'bother' me, it also reminds me of how well my playset idea from my story at the beginning of this thread would have done if Playmates had been smart enough to listen to me. Oh well, maybe someday I'll make my own.

So I was thinking What would be the best Trek action figure to make, and I realized it would be the Alice android from I, Mudd. They were all identical and there were hundreds of them. Include a decal sheet with numbers so that you can make your Alice whichever one you want, or have as many of them as you want. The perfect Trek army builder figure! CCC.

Thanks for posting those original Galoob playsets. I never knew they made prototypes. The Enterprise set looks great. I remember it teased on the back of the cards but I had never seen anything.
I was so excited when that line came out. It was teased on Entertainment Tonight and I immediately started saving my money. I think the die-cast Enterprise was one of my favorite toys when I found it. I had never had official Star Trek toys before then.
But I love that set. I like it a lot more than Playmates' version. It's a shame the Galoob line didn't last.
