I have a better idea. How about we all pitch in, buy it collectively, then have high quality copies made for all of us *cough Spy Monkey cough*

That way we all get one.

Once I get any of the unproduced character hardcopies I do plan on getting casts for some select few peeps. :D

Peace,

I've been admiring the DCUC pretty heavily this year, but my funds only allow me to get 1 maybe 2 a month. I made the decision early to get only JLA, Teen Titans and Bat-villains or sidekicks. That being said...there will be Wonder Woman and Starfire shaped holes on my shelves for a long time.

Right now I'd say my White Whales are:

JLU (?) Harley Quinn
Old 70's Ghost Rider figure w/the changeo head

Well, I suppose these suckers are my White Whales now. I think they both qualify. Screw Black Hole Humanoid, these are much more fun!

Sweet.

Is Magnum jogging at the camera, or doing some karate poses? :D

My last white whale was the USS Flagg for Joe. It was a pain to get and took me years to find all the parts, but probably cost me half as much as it normally does on the second hand market.

Anymore I just keep current, I partly regret the Flagg which is part of my issue (because storing that thing is something I never thought about before I got it). Don't get me wrong, I love it but dear lord it is a hard thing to deal with.

Really though the old obsessions I wanted have been taken care of, working on todya (or recent years as I did have to pass on a few things, but nothing major).

Well, there were some vague memories of someone doing martial arts in the Magnum, p.i. intro, but it turned out to be Higgins. Too bad this line didn't go any further. It would have been cool to get a Higgins figure packed with Zeus and Apollo, T.C. with helicopter, and Rick.

Didn't Rick have the bar? That would have been a cool playset for the line. Helipad on the roof.

I need a new white whale. For a long time it was the big Iron Giant figure, but then I wandered into my comic shop one day and found him for $70. I'm still slightly stunned, considering what he goes for on eBay. But the Hogarth figure wasn't there (all the vehicles and the sculpture were), so I'm sure that's why the price was so low. A few weeks ago, I got Hogarth on eBay for $8.

Easy. The unreleased Playmates Star Trek TOS Bridge Playset. I don't know how close to production it came, but I'd give my left arm for one. I've heard that there are prototypes/"liberated" copies floating around out there, but have no idea if that's true or not. It keeps the hope alive anyway. :D
