I love that everything new that comes out still uses all the "old" art and costumes.
Now, before you all go jumping on me, I realize that these were probably well in the works before there were any announcements or hints about the "New 52", but, you got to think, that someone, somewhere, at DC, is just hedging their bets by keeping all the "old style" costumes and characters in circulation through merchandise channels.
you know ... just in case ...

I do like them though and will probably end up getting a pair or two for both me and my son when I see them in stores.

These were made in China by sweatshop slaves, and the dye has lead in it that soaks into your feet. Just kidding... or am I?

I was always under the impressions that starting in July and August DC and Warner Brothers sent out marketing memos that prevented lisencners from using classic depictions and anything new had to be New 52 based. Basically halting anything marketed until the debut of the New 52. I probably imagined it more than likely, I sometimes imagine a lot it seems!
But still it is nice to see something keeping classic appearances alive.

I hate flip flops and this make me sad. I don't wanna look at any man feet or fat girl feet. But that's just me. Shoes, people. Welcome to cilivized society.
