He's right, but check this out. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail6" Classic line, wave 1 made up of Lion-O and Mumm-Ra. What the heck? Toy News International has their speculation; could they be right? Quote: - 6" Classic Collector Figure Series 01 - Set of Lion-O & Mumm-Ra - (It would seem Bandai has been listening to fans and decided to scrap the 8" line of classic figures and start over in the 6" scale)

Yeah, starting all over again would suck. Unless they made playsets and vehicles. Then I would forgive them.
As for the Classics line pegwarming, you have to keep in mind how expensive they are and that they are not designed for moms to pick them up. If they made less of them in quantity they could still make a profit. They were originally going to be sold in lesser quantities than the kids line when they were first announced too.

Well, starting over after two figures is better than starting over after ten... And these things may not be made in numbers anywhere near the kids line. The kids line has been blowing through everywhere I've seen them, but the classics started clogging up after the first few cases. Think this might be a real sign that mass retail is not a good place for something aimed completely at collectors. If MOTUC is selling something like 10-12,000 figures then, by comparison, there must be around 30-40,000 of Thundercats Classics just in Walmart alone. Add in Target, TRU, K-Mart and the others and you've probably got that many again if not more...

Many collectors were disappointed that the classics weren't in 6" scale, myself included. Bandai seems to have actually listened. Thundercats in scale with Marvel Legends, DCUC, MOTUC, and Ghostbusters is much much better.

True. And hopefully the six inch figures will be slightly less expensive.

I don't have a huge issue for it, BUT I've now wasted money that could have been spent on something else. They should at least complete the main four Cats.

Glad I held off getting the 8" classic figures, seeing they are going to be doing 6" classic figures.

Agreed. But that Mumm-ra kicks all kinds of ass. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do now. I've invested about $35 into the 8 incher. It sounds like they're gonna do classic Cheetarah, so all I'd need is Panthro and I could call it a day. Decisions, decisions . . .

I loved the 8 inch figs. And I liked the little guys.
Haven't picked up any 6 inchers. Dunno what I'm going to do going forward.

I hate Lion-O's roaring head but hopefully he'll be rereleased someday with a better one. I'm bummed about the 8 inch line since I already spent $40 on it but the way I look at it is they will probably be $5 cheaper so I'll be saving money in the long run if the line lasts a few years.
I want them to rerelease Tygra in the 6 inch scale in the next wave and if they ARE going to do a 8 inch Cheetara I want her in the 6 inch line soon too.

Don't like the head on the 6" classics Lion-O at all. Don't think that 6" scale is gonna be for me. And I'm already invested in the 8" line with Lion-O and Tigra. Hopefully, they release Panthro and Cheetra at the 8" scale as well, & I can just call it a day.

The interview did say that the 8" line will continue in a limited capacity, so hopefully that means Cheetara and Panthro. I'm going to hold off on the 6" line for the moment.
