Over the past year my purchasing has moved from part time hobby to full blown collecting. Since I did not prepare ahead of time Im not stretched for room to display my figures and am looking for a good display case/shelves. My problem is I have no idea where to start looking so any advice or links to good displays would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I would prefer if they were available from retail stores but Id consider ordering them from online if they were really good. Thanks a lot

I like standard six foot bookcases from places like OfficeMax or Staples (I use white so the figures show up well against the background). They have sales on them occasionally and most of the shelves are adjustable (and you can buy addition shelves at Lowes or Home Depot). The only downside is that you have to put them together. I have about 8 of them in my toy room.

Target currently sells a 3-tiered expandable shelf organizer that works perfectly with such shelves.

Also, shotglass display cases work well for small figures (like Heroclix, Mini-mates, or R2D2's).

Lots of good stuff available at Ikea You can look what they have online (or at the store), but pick up in the store. Their shipping/delivery is pretty steep.

Wish Ikea would open up a store in Louisville or Lexington as it's about a 3 hour drive from here to the closest one...

I was in the Kotobukiya in Akiba last week and they had some killer glass display cases for sale. Alas, they were beyond my price range (not to mention shipping would have been a nightmare). I'll have to see if I still have a pic on my phone.
