Who or what is that one character, vehicle, ect. that you have always wanted in toy form, but never saw more than a prototype? (EDIT: Not to say that they even got as far as a prototype. Just that that may be the farthest they ever got) For me, that character is Johnny 5 from Short Circuit. The most he has seen is a few Garage kits here and there, but they were VERY limited run and although it's not really a problem, were not licensed. It's insane to me, because the first movie was successful (and I personally love the second), but no toys! I mean, come on! A toy robot practically sells itself and they had one star in a movie! As a huge fan, it is painful. Hopefully with a re-make on the horizon (that I am nervous about), some classically inspired products will surface. Who is that one character that you have always wanted in toy form?

I come from the school of Character Options... even if a prototype is seen it doesn't exist unless it's been announced by someone of authority!

What I mean is, that has to be the farthest they have ever gotten, but not necessarily how far they got. Nothing that got farther than a prototype is the best way to put it, I think.

A lot of the Marvel Comics Micronauts would fit into this category for me. I'd say Marionette would be my number one choice.

There are tons of them...
Marionette (thanks for reminding me kevfett!) Jaxxon from the early, early Star Wars comics (anybody else ever consider him to be the inspiration for Bucky O'Hare?) The Tonnika Sisters Amethyst, Princess of Gem World Robin (Stephanie Brown) and pretty much any TV/movie robot that hasn't had an action figure before (alongside those who have-- would love to have a whole line made in 3 3/4 scale compatible with the Star Wars build-a-droid droids): Johnny 5, Robby the Robot, Robot Monster, Huey, Dewey and Louie (Silent Running), Marvin the Paranoid Android, LiS Robot, Black Maria, etc

The Serpent Society (especially Death Adder, Anaconda, and Bushmaster) The final wave of Toybiz's Iron Man line (which I think got turned into an X-man in space wave ) I also really wanted that giant sea monster that ate the fish that was chasing the Jedi's sub in SW Episode 1.

Robin in JLU form. I spent the last 4 years asking about him.

Nope-- all they made in action figure "scale" was the Opee Sea Killer, -- the Colo Clawfish was released in the Battle Bags pvc mini line, and the Sando Aqua Monster has never seen any sculpting daylight..

Quick rough list
Since I tried to keep it to those that saw no release in any action figure form at all- (it does kick off a few people off the list (especailly with Toy Biz Cartoon Scale line)-
Heres my Short list (tried to keep it to the top 3) ( I figure I would skip Star Wars- Since I probably have about 10 lists out there for them)
Darkwing Duck - Wave 2 (THE WHOLE WAVE) Tale Spin-- Sgt. Dunder, Wildcat, Mad Dog, Shere Khan and a Bagheera Pilot DC-Universe- Spoiler, (I dont count the Kubrick or the Heroclix) Secret, Arrowette, Misfit -- Marvel Universe- Hepzibah (although there is a SHS protoype of her), Meggan, Rachel Grey Phoenix (red studded costume), Songbird Gargoyles-- Angela, Mutates (all of them), The Pack (all of them) BTAS-- Lock Up, Roxy Rocket, Red Claw Batman Beyond- Curare, Inque, Ten
making this list depresses me......

Yup, the Clawfish. I thought it was pretty cool.
