...now, I've been very patient with Mattel on this subject I have waited almost a whole month to see these toys either on their way to me or the toy shelves. So far nothing though, you know what I see when I go to TRU or Target? Not GLTAS toys, nope not a one. All I see are some overpriced Young Justice figures (cool as they may be) and some ugly GL movie toys, (the movie was okay, but the toys get a 1.5 out of 5 because well... They suck. ) Seriously though, I am really wondering if Mattel has even hinted they that have plans for the show? They have had a long time to plan for the toys and could have had some ready for shelves when CN aired the first two episodes last month, or not, I am no toy company expert, (is DC giving them a hard time?) or are they still just a bunch of lame Linda's? I want my GLTAS toys now, now, now! Not in 2013, 2 years after the premier, NOTE: ABOUT 95% OF MY POST IS SARCASTIC AND IS MEANT AS A JOKE BUT... ... I am curious about what Mattel has planned for this show, if any plans at all. Thanks and have a nice day. D.

Right now, nothing. They aren't going to announce anything on that line until Toyfare next year.

I dunno...where are your GLTAS toys? On a slightly serious note there has been a couple of "claimed" prototypes on ebay. In fact I think some members here may have picked them up.

Like Young Justice toys, they will probably be revealed on February's Toy Fare.

Unpainted prototypes for Kilowog Zillius Zox and some unidentified alien have all appeared on eBay. Pics of the Zillius Zox figure are posted in other threads.

Since the show doesn't even officially start till next year, I don't think it's bad that they aren't out yet. They would do well do try to time the figure release to the show's debut date. I think Young Justice was hurt by having figures come out something like 6 months after the show started.

I'm curious does anyone have any links to the Kilowog prototype. I'd like to see what he looks like. I've seen the Zillius Zox.

The aliens were from the unproduced Gen Rex line. That line was going to improve nicely. I wanted my Bobo Haha. By the way Rex fits nicely in the YJ line.

Thanks everyone, I kind of figured Toy Fair would be when they would show or announce if there will be a toyline or not, but was curious if anyone has heard anything solid about this, or... has pics of Hal Jordan (if he exists. It is weird that he wasn't leaked on eBay but Kilowog was, hmmm... D.

With the movie tanking I wouldn't be surprised if they do not put alot of effort into this. I'm betting it's a "let's see how the cartoon does first" kind of deal before they go all in. Might see a few figures to see how they do but with the GL movie figures not doing so well (or so it seems) I doubt retailers are jumping on board with these if they do release them.

With the hoards of GL movie figures rotting on the pegs, I can't imagine many retailers will be interested in another GL line.
Either way, we're not going to know anything until Feb.

That's hitting the nail on the head Ian
Retailers, folks. The retailers are going to be a "hard sell" for this property considering the failure that the GL movie toys were.
Mattel needs to have the stars of the sales team pitch this line at Toy Fair or it will be dead before it even leaves the drawing board.
If they go in saying "it's GL, it will be a hit", they've already lost. If they go in saying "it's in JLU style, you already have an existing customer base", they've already lost.
The retailers need to see this line as a very open and accessible toy line with a low price point to entice the casual "mom and grandma" shoppers.
If they can't do that, we won't get these figures no matter how much we want them.

Watch Mattel pull something sneaky like sticking the words "Force of will!" on the packaging to try to sucker some moms into confusing them with Star Wars figures. "Look, Timmy. I got you one of Jabba the Hutt's gang: Kilowog."
