Overall, it seems like a great idea to release the classic figures in the 6-inch scale to match the 2011 6-inchers. Really weird to do it when they've already started the 8-inch line though.
I was trying to think of why they'd do this scale switch, and one of the most likely reasons seemed to be that retailers didn't want to pick up another wave of 8-inch figures. If that's the case though, how would they release more (like the cheetara they hinted at)?
Maybe the 6-inch scale is just more economical for them?

Me personally I did'nt really want to get the 8" classic figures, now they have said they are going to be doing 6" classic figures I am more stoked than ever for the Thundercats line, they will fit in nicely with the other 6" lines I have figures from.

I found 6" Mum-Ra today, and he pales in comparison to the 8" Lion-o and Tygra. The 6"-ers appear to have less articulation. I wish Bandai would have made up their damn minds about scale before they started releasing figures....

If they can just get the other two Cats (I don't care about the Kittens) and Mumm-ra out in the 8 inch line, I'll be happy to call it a day.
I'd want the four mutants, but I don't think they'll ever get the 8 inch treatment.

They stated that they will be doing Cheetara as the next 8-inch classic. When they said they'd be in limited release, so does that mean they are going to be online only?
I like the 6-inch scale. I don't like Lion-O's headsculpt in the 6-inch scale as much as the 8 inch version but it's still a cool figure.
I hope they get to all the Thundercats in the 6-inch scale including Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali.

Got Mumm-Ra today. I like the streamers he comes with but the six-inch figures are nowhere NEAR as sturdy at the eight inch ones. They're five dollars less so that's no surprise but I can't decide if I would prefer the lower price tag or the nicer figures.

I found the 6" Lion-o today. The head is way goofy. And yes, Fone they aren't as sturdy. I'm surprised there is such a price difference in your area. They was less that a $5 difference here in what I paid for the 8" vs the 6" figures, and I bought them at retail.

Found one each of 6" Lion-O and Mumm-Ra at Target. Passed for the time being, they did look rather nice though.

I passed on them because I bought the 8" figs, which I liked a lot, and seeing another Lion-O made me feel like I was getting crapped on. I guess Bandai doesn't really know what they're doing. So far I've only bought the 4 inch and 8 inch figs - dunno if I will ever get the 6 inchers or not - but 3 different scales is a crappy idea I never want to see again.

What bugs me the most about the six-inchers are those freaking screws. They're EVERYWHERE on the figures' backs. The eight-inchers don't have screws on their backs, do they? It messes up their whole aesthetics. This is why I never collected Bandai stuff until now. Holding a figure together like that was acceptable when Toy Biz was starting out in 1989. Today? Not so much.

More Thundercats madness! Today I'm checking out the main mummy man himself, Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living. This guy is beefier than Lion-O, but also lacks some articulation and has a somewhat odd choice of accessories. But he is the first villain in the 6 inch Classics line. I've got the full review up over at the usual, and thanks for reading if you do! Infinite Hollywood: Thundercats Classics Mumm-Ra Review

I'm not buying into the line until we get a Ma-Mutt set.

I got 6" Classics Lion-O today. He's neat if a bit goofy looking.
