Announced today on DC's blog and in the USA Today is the Second Wave of titles.

These are all listed as "ongoing" and will REPLACE titles that are getting cancelled with their 8th issue.

Here's the link:

and the discussion ...

I've been waiting for the Earth2 announcement...wonder if it will be just the JSA or all of Earth-2...

As for the six being cancelled, not surprised. I can think of about three dozen more DCnU books that need to be canned. That said, Dial H could be fun, as well as GI Combat. We shall see...

Speaking of Earth-2, check out this page from Meltzer's JLA #0 back in 2006...pretty darn cool foreshadowing (if it's not just an empty coincidence) and it's even drawn by Jim Lee. The DCnU costumes aren't there, but it does propose an interesting premise...

Meh. None of those seem interesting to me.

STILL no Secret Six. :(

I'm pumped for the JSA. I hope they do that team right.

Im surprised that no one has commented on the fact that one of the cancelled titles is Static.

I can see GI Combat eventually folding Blackhawks and the Sgt Rock book under its banner as the one stop war book for DC much as the Western book is doing with Jonah Hex and others.

Dial H could be the sleeper hit of the bunch and World's Finest will most likely be the title that bridges the Earth 2 book to the rest of the DCnU.

I'm disappointed that Hawk and Dove is getting the ax but looking forward to Batman: Incorporated.

Not surprised, but disappointed.
Static and Mr. Terrific were both books I tried and wanted to like.
Static was boring and Mr. T just wasn't that great.
DC needed to put them in team books to help sales of the solo books.

OMAC was probably my favorite new book. It was KirbyGiffenwackytastic. It's hard to get that fix.

Newsarama and others are reporting six cancelations and six new titles from DC:

http://www.newsarama.com/comics/dc-new- ... 20112.html

The ones that have me the most excited are Worlds' Finest and Earth-2. I'm hoping this means we will get a classic costume Helena Wayne, and perhaps a variant! I feel this is an easy mix at retail, for you can throw in figures like E-2 Superman, Wonder Woman, & Batman that can appeal to Moms. I realize we have already gotten a lot of the JSA, and Jay Garrick is coming in the subscription. I REALLY want to see 4 Horsemen versions of E-2 adult Robin and Ma Hunkle! Is it too much to hope for a "closed mouth" release of Alan Scott? How about the robot Red Tornado's original costume?

Peace,

JC

Well, none of the 6 cancelled were anything I read past issue 1, so I'm not upset about that.

not sure how I feel about Batman, Inc just yet.

Really like the JSA and Earth 2 ideas.
