LOL...its always a great idea to come to an area with JLU faithful and declare yourself a winner of an auction 2.5 days before it ends. So now any JLUer that didnt already have their eyes on that figure does now. And Stew has had Mongul in his possesion at least twice already and has access any time he wants. All he has to do is ask me. But he already knew that

I didnt know he had it already sorry just trying to be helpful. I am a die hard JLUer yes indeed. I was given some christmas money and i wont say how much but im going to do everything i can in my power to get him. I didnt mean to flaunt or anounce to the world i was getting him. I was just very happy at the moment hoping that it was a scalper bidding against me. I hate the scalpers and will do what i can to keep it out of their hands.

Your welcome! I just didnt want any scalpers getting a hold of it before any JLUer could get it. The price was already salty when I placed a bid on it. I know i probably wont win anyway it was just very wishful thinking on my part. I know how things go on there so heres to trying. You cant blame a guy for trying.

Rereads Howard's latest rant. No, THIS is the dumbest thread I've read all week. Kalibakvunderbarr wrote: I'm bidding 1200 on it. I probably never would've found it If it wasnt for you, thanks! Are you serious? You have 1200 to spend on action figures? You DO realize that if you win the auction and it's REALLY close you'll have to pay close to that amount, right? Plus, honestly, it's also kind of a dick move.

How's that for a dick move.

Even if I had a lot of money I'd be afraid to bid too much on something like that. I'd be afraid Mattel would go ahead and release it and then I'd feel stupid and would have thrown a lot of money away.

"Hey, I bought Mongul for $500!!! Wait, Mattel has changed their minds and IS releasing him? for $50?!? CRAP! Well, I just resold mine on eBay to some poor buyer who didn't know that and he paid $450. So it's still a loss but at least I'll get a Mongul figure. Maybe the non-prototype will have a better paint job. Sweet! Wait, Mattel changed their minds AGAIN?!? CRAP! Time to watch eBay like a hawk again!" [and no, I did not actually experience ANY of the above. But you know someone on these boards might have...]

If I was a high roller, I would simply buy this item for $3000.00 then turn around and give it to some local donation center. I would do this just to spite Mattel, pretty much giving them a big middle finger... ha! ha! ha!... Ahem, and I know that many of you are thinking something like: "how could you just give it away, when many of us would want it?" the truth is: I couldn't just give it to anyone here, as everyone would hate that I didn't choose them. D.

Mmm... and the donation center would then turn around and give it to a Children's Hospital. And the Children's Hospital would probably forget they had a $3,000 dollar toy. So instead of auctioning it, someone would eventually end up throwing it in the Toy Bin (along with all the other Legos & Barbies) so that the sick children would have another toy to play with. 'Cause at the end of the day... Toys are toys, and they are meant for children. And that my friends, is the story of how Woody Mongul lived through the plot of Toy Story 2 and 3. Give or take some other minor details.

D. There are a lot of stupid posts in this thread. Such as this one. This is the stupidest thread of the year. Yeah, it's January but I doubt we are going to be able to top it. Heck, I'm not immune. I'm going to keep my above idiotic post uneditted for the sake of posterity so I can say I participated in the stupidest AFI thread of the year and I kept it real (i.e. stupid).
