I would argue that this doesn't help anyone. It'll just drive up the price for everyone

It just helps them be aware of it. Some people like Disney boy or bfantana would kill to know this news.

And now they'll have to kill to buy it because 50 other people who are too lazy to search eBay know about it. I've already talked to the seller and I guess I should talk to him again and tell him not to worry about getting the price he wanted because now this thing will skyrocket.

Love your enthusiasm but please don't do this again. Howard's Aquaman thread was a little bit different because the seller was offering a "Buy it now" option. A link to an auction is just plain trouble. Disneyboy or BFantana will never be able to afford this now. A PM is just as effective.

Yep. That's exactly what I think every time I see one of these threads. That the original poster is somehow involved. Especially in cases like this, where you know someone is looking for it. All it does is drive the price up. I've posted before how much I HATE these type of threads, and my position hasn't changed.

I actually have a custom of her from the regular head here. It's fantastic. It's the only reason I haven't spent 200 bucks on eBay for a Volcana. I would LOVE to have an official one at some point but it won't be this auction.

I don't do ebay myself, but I have no problem pointing them out for others.

And that's your right. It's also my right to greatly dislike that you or anyone else does it. As J1 says, all it does is make it harder for those who are paying attention to get it at a decent price.

Another helpful tip for those with an iphone or android (I think it can be done via ebay.com as well)
Just do a keyword search and then save that search. Every time you return to ebay, it will let you know when new auctions have been listed that match your search.

This is how I acquired my Volcana. In order to cast the widest net, I just used the term 'Volcana' in Toys and Action Figures. This will, however, net you several Marvel Superheroes Squad auctions for a lass who looks like Fire from the JLU mashed up with Volcana. I actually keep that search saved still (along with Secret Society) out of curiosity of the market. I missed one three pack that went for $148 last year, but snagged one at $175 a few months later.

This is just speculation on my part, but from Joel's wording, it looks like he made a tender offer to have the item pulled for him when the auction was still at an early/low-bid stage.

And there is nothing wrong with that. But as a matter of personal opinion, interfering to have an auction end early is almost as bad as interfering to drive up the price.

Just my opinion. I don't expect people to agree or disagree.

It doesn't matter. In most cases, when it comes to JLU... it's a dog eat dog world.
