That's pretty much exactly how I feel about Marvel. Aside from Hulk and Daredevil (neither of which I am currently following though), if Marvel were to disappear tomorrow, I doubt I would even notice. DC is a vastly superior (to me anyway) pantheon of characters than anything Marvel has in their stable.

I've been fortunate so far and have not had that problem, probably because I'm in a very arid climate Interesting choice, voters... Could you elaborate on you issue with Robin?

Wizard did a poll once, the two top recognized heroes are Batman and Superman but the common on the street person thought they were published by Marvel Comics

I can't stand Spider-Man.
I've tried (70's) and tried (McFarlane era 90's) and tried (JMS' run) and I just find nothing interesting in the character.
I fell in love with Hulk with Peter David and haven't ever strayed too far since. I don't like all of what's happened with the character since then (and like I said, I'm not currently following him) but I still "check in" every so often when I'm in the store to see how things are progressing.
Daredevil is really the ONE character at Marvel that I just can't stay away from. Loved the Miller stuff, the Nocenti stuff, and on and on. Gladly bought into the relaunch back when Marvel Knights started, kept going with Bendis, Brubaker, and now Waid. I haven't bought the individual issues, but I have read them, and will eagerly pick up the trade when it drops.
DC, on the other hand, is just such a HUGE part of my childhood and formation, that I couldn't go a day without somehow interacting with the characters.

Peter David's first run on Hulk is like my Incredible Hulk bible!

PAD's Hulk is the Definitive version of the character IMHO. I don't have the whole thing, but I have a lot of it.

For me it has to be wave 19. SO very much JSA goodness there. Close second is wave 8 for much the same reason.

My favorite has to be wave 8 with the Giganta CAC. The main reason I picked it was because of the balance between the heroes and Villains. Giganta sold the wave by herself, but the Gentleman Ghost is one of my favorite villains so that's why I chose this wave.
