Found almost a full case today. Bought nothing. The Hulk figure for this line is worse than the old Mego CAH. Ugh. I was actually hoping it might be a decent smaller-scale 3.75" Hulk. Instead? Plastic LUMP.

Hmmm. I had planned on only really getting the Cap and maybe Black Widow. But I might get the Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye too. And I'll gladly take the lessoned articulation simply to get rid of those god awful ball hinged torsos. Though a waist and wrist swivels would be nice. You can't win them all.

I am preparing for this similar sight that I saw several times yesterday--

2-3 cases on the pegs - the only figures that had been bought were Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye-- rest of the figures untouched..

Those are the two I bought yesterday. They're pretty cool, but I wish they could bend at the waist and didn't have giant goofy weapons. The rest look boring and crappy. I thought about getting the Hulk, but he's a bit too lame.

There is a helmetless/maskless variant of Rocket Grenade Cap that I want. I thought it was the regular fig but no it's gotta be a freaking variant.

So far I would rate the Iron Man 2 line the best, then Cap, then Thor, and this line is dead last.

Picked up Ultimate Thor and the black/grey Iron Man varient. No sign of Hawkeye.

Looked at the Quinjet in person finally . . . and passed for the inevitable clearance/mark down.

Surprisingly, Target didn't have those mech suits. I hope they're not a TRU exlcusive.

I see a few more Avengers toys with every TRU I go to, but still no Ultimate Thor yet.

And I didn't even think Hawkeye was OUT, so now I'm doubly pissed at how behind I am.

And Zed, you gotta trade up to the Ultimate Cap from the Cap line! Puts that MU mold to shame.

I was looking at the Quinjet today too and saw the cargo door opens. But I wasn't sure if anyone can fit in there. I think if the quinjet cockpit was like the gijoe night attack chopper where it fits 3 figures in the cockpit that would be good.

Yeah that Quinjet is sad. And the Helicarrier is a joke. Oh well. I found exactly one Avenger fig at Wal Mart this morning and it was Ultimate Hawkeye. And I'm not sorry I grabbed it. My only real complaints are that I wish it had wrist swivel and ankle joints. Oh and that the backpack would come off. But overall, I really like it.

There is also an upcoming Nick Fury apparently, and also the "Main Villain" from the movie, whoever that is. I thought it was Loki?

There is a variant for 04 Rocket Grenade Cap with no mask. I don't know about any other variants as of yet.

Yeah, I found one at WM yesterday. I finally bought it. Mainly because:

A) it's kinda cool looking and at least makes a kind of sense that Iron Man would use it

B) the Avengers line as a whole is SO DISAPPOINTING that I'm practically desperate to buy SOMETHING!

The list looks pretty good. That's all we have so far as far as I know.

I'm pondering getting that Ultimate cap and just remove the vest. I like the blue better than the Ultimate Cap from Cap movie line. I can't remember did Cap always have the blue pants in the Ultimate cartoon or were they gray like the Ultimate Cap figures in both the Cap and Avengers line? I can't remember. I don't like the original Ultimate Cap from the MU line cause of the head and facesculpt. That's where I like the movie ones better. I think I'll wait for that single Nick Fury pack for my Ultimates set up.

I could have sworn I read that Black Widow and Hawkeye were in wave 3, I only remember that because I got into a discussion about how Wave 3's of movie lines from Hasbro end up and what it might mean for Widow.

If this were to happen, it would make a lot of collectors very happy. Being in a 3-pack would guarantee it having a different SKU, a different place on the planogram, and not being held up by peg-warmers from the first 2 waves. If only. Unfortunately, both of those figures will be in wave 3...
