um... Quote: 4. Are the rumours true? Is the 4th Ghostbusters figure for next year a Vigo variant?
Again, you’ll just have to wait and see! WTF!? WHEN THE F WAS THIS RUMORED AND WTF DOES THAT EVEN FING MEAN?! so you're fing telling me that out of the FOUR FING GHOSTBUSTER FIGURES WE GET NEXT YEAR, THERE'S EVER A FING POSSIBILITY THAT HALF OF THEM WILL BE SH*TTY VIGO!? THE SH*TTIEST VILLAIN IN THE WORLD!? HE'S A FING PAINTING!!! WHY THE F WOULD YOU MAKE HALF OF YOUR FING LINE FOR THE WHOLE FING YEAR BASED ON A FING PAINTING!?! THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN "HELL. EMPHATICALLY. NO."

I mean, I calmed the f down probably way before you even read that, but it doesnt invalidate my argument. half a year's toy line being based on one character is stupid unless it's like a batman retail line or something. I guess I'm more surprised or disappointed by the fact that matty wasn't immediately like, "no, we wouldn't do that to our fans because we're not total dickfarts."

It'll probably be Vigo with "pink slime" all over him, similar to the awesome Marshmellow Ray variant. Just what the fans wanted.

see, that would be totally cool to put out as the "sorry we cancelled your subscription" gift or whatever, but not as one fourth of a year's worth of toys.

There are pictures out now of an evil head variant of Vigo floating around the internet, so it looks like, unless it was just a planned accessory that didnt make the cut, the variant Vigo figure is an inevitability. I know nobody but me give a **** about Ghostbusters anymore, but has anyone heard any word on what the "thank you" gift is going to be for those who subscribed before the sub was cancelled? I'm really hoping it's this sh**ty vigo variant and that the 4th and final figure next year is something OTHER THAN the sh**ty Vigo variant.

I'm really hoping that second Vigo head is something unannounced for the one coming out this month (maybe that's the something extra for subscribers, which will suck for me since they cancelled my subs with the Man-E-Faces screw-up in August).

I just realized the other day that I have to logon during the 1/17 sale to get the "Ready To Believe You" Peter Venkman... ugh! I miss the subscription already.
And it would be nice if the year 'round Ray Stantz had a new & improved head sculpt. I'd buy that! Heck, they should just humor us a release a GB 2 Gray Suit Winston with the slimeblower head. I'd buy it and it would save me the trouble of of tracking down a cheap Slimeblower Winston and swapping the heads myself.
Oh, and I am not impressed with that thing I received called Vigo.

The best part of the Vigo figure?
The lenticular painting.

Just grabbed labcoat Peter to round out my commercial collection, and yikes. even on sale, with tax and shipping, over $30! for one figure! this will definitely be the last figure i buy from matty until zuul comes out. and man, as much as i hate the thought of not getting Janine, Gozer, the terror dogs and plainclothes versions of Winston, Louis and Dana, at one figure per purchase not on sale with tax and shipping, thats probably another $250 just for that. yeesh. that said, yo, matty, make sure you get around to Gozer and the terror dogs at least!

shishalzafrazz wrote: yo, matty, make sure you get around to Gozer and the terror dogs at least! Reading between the lines, it looks like this line is practically done by now. I don't expect we'll ever get anymore figures beyond what's already planned for release this year. It's a damn shame we have to settle for that generic rookie character from the video game instead of getting an important villain like Gozer. My only hope is that Mattel may surprise us with a nice final hurrah for GB at SDCC, perhaps as a SDCC exclusive. Gozer and two terror dogs with a rooftop display backdrop would be a nice multi-pack this year to compliment the rest of the GB figures and the Stay Puft set we got last year.

yeah, dude, that's what im hoping for too. even though a few clutch characters might not make it out, and even though a little garbage like vigo and courtroom peter with only one of the scolari bros is out, we got most of the essentials covered if the gozer/terror dogs/rooftop diorama makes it out. im not holdin my breath, though.
