The law of averages suggests that we can't be happy with every purchase. Even things we weigh carefully we never know until we have it in hand. Now this probably doesn't hold true for you lot who keep everything packaged and tucked away. Cool beans, this is for the ones who open things and try them out only to find they aren't up to speed. For myself, I think I was disappointed with the Young Justice Superboy in Clone Chamber. I found one cheap on eBay and when I got it to my surprise he was 3 3/4 in size. Now I could have read the reviews and what not but I chose not to. I was after this simply for the chamber itself and the three little clones which come with it inside. I love the chamber itself! I just thought since it came with a diorama it would be a 6" Superboy. Now my second disappointment was when I bought the DCSH Doomsday. I had no idea he was so... short! So what's your disappointment or if you're too mature for that we'll call it a regret of buyer's remorse...

My most recent buyer's remorse was buying the 8 inch Tigra and Lion-o. Since we're most likely never getting the rest of the team.

I'm pretty good at gauging what I might or might not like, but I do have remorse moments.
Most of the Thundercats stuff, as it appers they will be in the clearence lanes soon.
Thor Movie versions, just were weak on all levels.
MU Thanos wave, Not Thanos himself, but the rest of the wave was weak, wouldn't trade them off but I paid extra for them and I might not have if I knew how weak they were.

Glad I was strong and avoided the whole line except for SDCC Lion-O, which is a cool nostalgic piece. As for most disappointing purchase, the Sideshow 1/6 scale Stormtrooper. It was floppy, the armor was dull and had no gloss whatsoever, and the armor never stayed in place and wasn't formed correctly. (The chest piece flared out too much.) Their armored figures have been pretty good, especially in the last couple of years, but it was very disappointing for them to goof on the most iconic of them all.

The larger figures like Hulk, Thanos, The Thing feel great but normal characters I feel like I could break them by looking at them wrong. Unlike Star Wars or GI Joe figures.

Most of them I bought had loose or weak joints or had other problems I couldn't spot in the package. Like you said, they felt very cheap in my hand but they weren't cheap on my wallet. I bought maybe 20-25 of them before I sold them all off.

Yeah, defiantly not something I would expect from Hasbro. I just got Hector Hammond. I bought him on eBay so I couldn't tell but he's SOOOO small! Like in scale with 5" Doctor Who figures and so out of scale with 6" figures! viewtopic.php?f=29&t=22391&p=365070#p365070

DC Mighty Beanz. I knew going in that I would regret buying them. And then I bought them. And I regretted it.
So I bought more. And I regretted it.
And then they stopped making the DC ones before releasing the full collection.
And I regret it.
Thanks for bringing it up.

Ditto for Star Wars Beanz for me- I bought them during a lull in other figure lines-- (regret it even more- is that I started after their one online promotion- which I was a couple weeks late too- that had a 5 pack of droid beanz- -that set now goes for over 200.00 and I'll be damned if I ever pay that price.) Most of my other disappointing purchases are things I pay full price for and then either lose the receipt or it expires and I find them at rock bottom 90% off prices.

This is an older one, but a lot of that early McFarlane stuff. Wetworks and Youngblood. I didn't care about Wetworks and I hated Youngblood... but that didn't stop me from buying all that stuff. It's still up in my folks attic.

I still like the first series Medieval Spawn, I think that's the best true toy he has ever made! And the alley playset is rather rocking too! But a lot of his stuff was just... yeah... I can agree with this too!

I still like his first series Spawn figures (when McFarlane was still known as Todd Toys). They were nicely sculpted on blister packs with a free comic-a nice buy at the time. The later stuff seemed more flimsy (even though they were highly detailed), and were on regular cardbacks with no comic. I gave the later ones away to kids who never heard of the characters but liked them anyway.

Recent collections I've given up on: MU, 4in Thundercats, brave & the bold action league. Sold two of them already on eBay.

Just curious, why'd you give up on MU? There's some nice stuff coming up the next few waves.
