What I'm saying is that the line wouldn't be cancelled with unreleased figures already tooled if retail buyers hadn't passed on the line or placed orders so small that they didn't meet minimum production runs.

In the heyday of action figures, manufacturers usually required three of the big six retailers to be "in" before going into production. Not exactly sure how it works now that there's really only three big buyers but I would wager a guess that it takes at least two of them to give the go-ahead.

Wal-Mart, Target and Toys-R-Us being the three big chains, right?

It sounds like Mattel sucked at Toy Fair.

And I would guess all three of them did. They could never get rid of wave 1.

In my area you would never know Wal-Mart ever carried Young Justice... or DC Universe Classics or even Marvel Universe figures!

The truth is we all saw this coming from the day TRU had their bogo sale. Wal-marts never really supported the line. Target wouldn't reorder if they had 2 YJ figures on the pegs. Now I have absolutely nothing to collect.

Can't say I'm surprised by this news. All the local Targets and TRU are still fully stocked with the Wave 1 singles (4" and 6"). I'm still hoping to find a Stealth Aqualad to complete my HOJ. As soon as I get that last HOJ piece, I say good riddance to this line! Bring back JLU!

I am so disappointed I really thought this line had "legs" with the new episodes running and Season 2 on the way.

I was sooo looking forward to GL, Artemis, Superman ... and Capt. Marvel, Red Arrow, & Black Manta headin' our way!!!

Guess my YJ figures can go into a box & into the closet ... displaying them will make me constantly think, "If only I had _______ to add to the group."

I am sooooo glad I didn't get swept up in this line. the price point killed it for me. I did pick up Aqualad and Red Arrow in the 6 inch line because they blended with my DCUC figs.

It's sad. I really have grown to love the show and it's alternate timeline. Too bad it won't have an independent line. Maybe Mattel will work in some YJ figures into its "All-Star" line or whatever they are going to call the relaunched DCUC.

Dang, no 6-inch Miss Martian, huh? I was totally all in for the 6 inch line, but you can't find them any where. It's just Artemis and Robin out there. Forget Walmart, my 2 Walmarts carry no DC toys at all. I saw Red Arrow and Sportsmaster once and I seriously wonder about Guardian, Kidflash and Batman. I'm not even going to bother driving around anymore. Yes, they were $20, but come on, it was totally worth it with the displays and weapons.

I don't get too angry about this stuff, but I'm still burned about the Green Lantern Movie Masters. You just don't offer
a Collect and Connect promotion with 11 figures and expect the retailers to cooperate. 4 figures made it to retail. In a Q & A last summer, they said a solution was coming, but I've heard nothing.

As bummed as I am about losing the rest of the 6 inch line (I really wanted KF, MM, and that chimney base Batman had), I have a bigger concern.

This news pretty much destroys any hope of a Young Justice Season 3.

To me, that's the real tragedy.

This also may have hurt the line. It took for ever just to get the second season episodes out. The very first episode aired on Nov 26th 2010 and we are now just getting season 2? Kids don't really have a long attention span. That and again price point I think are the major factor.

We're still not to season 2. Season 1 still has a few episodes left.

This is the worst news I've heard all week and four days ago I found out I have Leukemia.

I would ask which of Mattel's anything lines is actually working? They drop the WWE Legends line, the Cars stuff has been mismanaged and rightfully rots on the pegs. Can they just cancel Mattel?
