But you guys are sane.
They will have no problem selling them at those prices, and you'll be seeing them on ebay shortly thereafter with even higher prices.
Which will get bought by other people.
I guarantee it.

I have no problem with the cost of going to the convention and bringing home the Oktober Guard. I have no problem with the expected price of the FSS. Nothing to do with sanity.

That's actually pretty cool. I'd get it painted in POC colors though.

Learn to be funny. The constant price whining and jealousy toward collectors with deeper pockets doesn't qualify.

Could be he is the sane one- and the rest of us are nuts- -- Besides- like you said he can go pick up a couple and then probably flip them on ebay and pay for his trip.. Although we probably can agree-- Lego collectors are a lost cause (when it comes to the price you pay for the size of the figure)

Just got my Footloose yesterday... and since I havent ever gotten any figures from the club before I have to say I was a little disappointed-- the figure sculpt looks good-- but the legs and arm joints are very loose-- almost to the point that he was having problems standing straight up (even with the stand)-- not sure if that was because of the huge backpack or not-- It just seemed a little cheaper made than the normal figs--
Those of you who got the Dial Tone- was this the same kind of thing? Just trying to wonder since this may impact my Fan Club 12 pack choice (probably not-- but still)

But you also dont mind exclusives and have no problem with them.. I have as deep of pockets when it comes to toy spending as the next guy-- Doesnt mean I cant think prices aren't inflated and cant complain about them- or make the choice whether or not I think a figure is worth the price- or complain about the fact that something I want finally gets released as a limited exclusive, yes am I glad it gets released that way other than no way, Yes-- but doesnt mean I have to be pleased about it.. Of course All though this doesnt mean you can't- -but doesn't mean your opinion matters any more than anyone elses... and really- I see this from the eyes of the Cheshire cat... Quote: Cheshire Cat: Of course, he's mad, too. Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people. Cheshire Cat: Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here. (ESPECIALLY THE NEVER SAY DIE JLUers) Cheshire Cat: You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself.

stewbacca wrote: Besides- like you said he can go pick up a couple and then probably flip them on ebay and pay for his trip.. Trip to New Orleans (including all the con exclusives) is going to cost in the neighborhood of $3K, so that's unlikely. I'm actually glad this year's set is finally something I really want so that keeping it will be worthwhile. stewbacca wrote: or make the choice whether or not I think a figure is worth the price Everyone has to make that decision. It's the, "Anyone who's willing to spend more than my personal limit for toys is crazy/stupid/bad with money," that's so obnoxious.

By the way, the Club revealed Colonel Brekhov today. That's a far better use of the body tooling than the RoC Destro for which it was created. The set keeps looking better and better.
