Because it's just wrong, plain and simple. The character is not a robot, nor a giant. He's not a shapeshifter or Apache Chief. He doesn't grow to three times a human size.
The figure is incorrect, and a mistake that Mattel is unwilling to correct or even admit to, and we're all having to pay $50 for it. That is unacceptable.

Like or dislike the figure, I think you are 100% correct here. We made a committment to the sub, to get exclusive figures. Define exclusive however you want, but a "correct figure" should be in that description.

So apparently, he is the only man in the universe who can only build a suit to a specific size. Any bigger and the dang thing just doesn't work I get that it's wrong, but that argument is dumb.

Sorry J1 but I have to chime in. The fact that YOU don't object to that particular figure doesn't mean the rest of us don't. YES, some versions of Rocket Red could have justified the larger size. This isn't one of them. That version should have been standard size, and the fact that it's not aggravates quite a few people (myself included).

I'm not saying its right or that Mattel did a good job. I'm purely saying that it's a suit and could theoretically be any size. That's all I'm saying. You guys are all reading me wrong.
I know the figure is wrong. I'm not saying Mattel did a good job on this. The scale is WAY OFF. Lobo off.

No I'm reading you just fine my friend. Even in a world where Superman can be dead and come back to life, that suit is plain wrong. No theory explains how crappy it is.

The Rocket Reds are an army of men in armor and none of them were ever giants, according to the way that DC created them in the comics.
The scale of the figure is way off compared to how DC designed him.

The way RR is sculpted, the white parts are the bulky armor and the red elements are the human elements. The red has to be fairly thin, or else you wouldn't see details such a knuckles, tendons in the neck and muscles in the thighs. Therefore, it is some sort of giant man in the suit and therein lies the problem. Stripe is 100% mech, that's how a smaller Pat Dugan is feasible

Maybe RR got a hold of Pym Particles? If I was an RR fan, I'm sure I'd be pissed. As it is, he'll make a decent Iron Man baddie on my shelf.

Has anyone gotten the email from Matty about the DCIE sub renewing yet? I got my monthly MOTUC one about 3 days ago. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned.
