Okay, time for something painful beyond superheroes... Looney Toons wave 2 and the Yosemite Sam with dragon set.

Nope, Mattel. DCD did the 'toon specific figures like the Scarlet Pumpernickel, What's Opera, Doc? and the baseball themed with Gashouse Gorilla. That first wave Mattel did was perfect. Tweety with Hyde Tweety was just amazing, whoever sculpted that understood how to keep something on-model.

DC Directs were about 6 years ago-- and once again fall prey to horrible DC direct quality-- (i had Wile Coyote, Roadrunner, Daffy, and the Gashouse Gorilla all break in multiple pieces-- (and several of them have horrible centers of gravity when any of the accessories are attached)-- and I realized I never got wave 3-- (for the Gossamer Figure only)

The Mattel ones are nice-- however they do get that filmy substance on them- my daffy looks more white than black in some places-- but the Hyde Tweety is awesome.. They are more rubber than plastic though..(kind of like Clayface.. (at least all of hyde tweety and Daffys Arms.)-- I want to say over 12 years ago.

I'm going to say '02 or '03, the line was released after Mattel had the DC license and a SDCC presence as they made a "Hulk" version Tweety for the con that year.
