For those of you with a Lego store in your area (like me NOW! :D ), each month, in addition to the many other fun events and whatnot they host, they have an exclusive "pickable model" which can be made by purchasing the correct bricks off the back wall.

Now, you don't actually have to go down the wall and pick the bricks yourself, the store will actually do it for you ahead of time and place them in specially labelled cups that you can just walk in and pick up along with an instruction sheet when you cash out.

Here's the Wiki if you want more info:
http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Pickable_Models

This month it is a "painter" and its a fun little model consisting of just under 100 bricks. The figure is very "cubic" and basic, but a fun, quick build and can create a rather nice shelf display if you start to collect multiple months and line them all up together.

Next month (June) though, and this is why I am posting it here, is ...

BATMAN and ROBIN!

Yup, 2 pickable models that get sold as a set in a large cup instead of a small cup!

Quantities are extremely limited so I will be there at opening on the first to get a set.

I'll post some pics when/if I am able (I've had some serious tech issues lately) to share all the goodness with you all.

Anyone else getting any of these store exclusives?

Just found this wiki link to the Batman & Robin set.
http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Batman_and_Robin

Not really much info there but it does have a pic so you'll know what I am talking about.

so excited!

Thanks for the heads-up! But I was worried for a second there. I thought I would have to go brave some crazy queue to get some new exclusive Batman and Robin minifigures. Still, it's a cool promo set. Have fun on the 1st!
