not the best likeness, but man I never thought Id see Mattel make us an Alfred
and as long as Ras is the last figure, I will be one happy Nolan batman figure.

That looks more like Hitchcock than it does like Alfred.
At least now when the Hitchcock movie starring Hopkins comes out we will have a toy line for it!

I know there are only 6 figures in the line to make the Bat Signal, but with Mattel and their recent Build-a-stuff (Green Lantern, YJ, WWE), I say to you, good luck, sir.

So is anyone finding these in retail yet? I read on Fwoosh that someone picked these up at Burlington Coat Factory.

Found them at the Admiral Walmart in Tulsa early last week. They also had a whole bunch of the 3 3/4" scale Batpod vehicle on the shelf below. Haven't been back to that Walmart in a week now, but I'm betting those Batpods are still there.

Picked up Alfred today at Meijer, the first place I've seen these figures. They were $15.99 there.

IMHO, I dont' get it??? Why is everyone so into these figures they are not worth it, nor cool, especially alfred. I think it is just hype/buzz, toy addiction and "me too" syndrome and the need to get the short packed. Mattel could short pack a turd, stamp it with a batman logo and everyone will covet and hunt it. I'd later see it on ebay for $120 having been bought, bragged and a little laughed about on various forums. Mattel is learning a lot from this.
Alfred fig:
A really bad sculpt of an old Michael Caine that looks nothing like him. I think they are reusing the body from Harvey Dent (just guessing). Why would anyone want this fig except for the bat signal piece? I bet he was short packed on purpose to prevent clogging and now he is coveted. Seriously? May be if they gave him a traditional butler's uniform, a tutu or even a tea set then may be, just may be....nah, still an old white guy in a suit.
Bane:
Basically a Vin Diesel Like character with a dog muzzle with coat and without a coat (wow so creative). The creative juices were really flowing when his design came up for discussion.
Catwoman:
Anne Hathaway as Catwoman sporting a cowl uh i mean mask with a cat ear headband that looks like antennas. At least she will get good signal on her catphone. Anne does not have the sultriness to pull of Selena Kyle. The figure sucks because of the the costume design/actress and the toy version looks worse as it takes away whatever sexiness she can muster to exude. They could not come up with something better?
GCPD Blake:
Wow! a simple uniformed GCPD cop and this is worth 17-$20 with tax
Batman:
Good lord how many do we need? I don't see any difference. They should have just packed them 1 to a case and upped the others since that is what people want. How many mom and pops missed the last movie toys? Nobody wanted these no matter how much they were discounted.
Ras:
i will hold judgement until i see pics. No need, googling pics it will be a an aged Liam Nesson with some bad facial hair in a black robes, ninja suit or something lame.
PRICE:
we paid $12.99 last time now its $15.99-$19.99. $5 more for a piece together bat signal that will cost you $30 to assemble plus all the gas tracking all the figs needed. If those some of the figs don't make to shelves because of peg rot or they decide to cancel them. There goes your cheap plastic bat signal. You can get the bat signal online for $10 and it is better quality. If you can buy these movie masters you can also pay for young justice. Price then can't be a factor YJ's failure. You know folks will be paying ridiculous sums for Alfred and others when he/they is/are not worth even $1. No wonder Mattel gets the wrong message about setting their pricing.
Any who, it is a def. pass for me. Good hunting though. This is just IMO, so no need to for angry justification, i'm just trying to sincerely understand the logic in all of this. This reminds me of the hype around Facebook's IPO.
