I just got that email too! From the look of things, people were hoping for a little more, like a full figure, but I will take a free glow-in-the-dark Slimer too.

Not too bad. I appreciate the gesture for sure. Would have liked some proton streams or other accessories more than another slimer but hey it's free!

Wow... how underwhelming. I'd rather have the alternate head Vigo than yet another Slimer. Oh well.... this marks the end of the line I guess.

I want that! If I had known it would be canceled, I would have subscribed just to get it!

I just opened my SDCC Dana and let mne just say, Mattel has NOTHING to be proud of here! Man, was ANY effort put into this figure, or when it was apparent that interest in the line was dwindling, they just decided to stop where there were with this figure's design and put out what they had to cut their losses? The face sculpt has a passing resembalance to Sigourney Weaver and might be the best thing about the figure, Actually, for being a two part statue, I do like how they sculpted the dress to go off the side of the platform she is laying on.
The biggest problem, assuming we all knew what we were getting anyway, is putting her onto her standing legs. On her sitting legs, the pegs fits perfect and she pops off easily enough. The peg on the standing legs is smaller though and while she does pop onto the peg, it's a wobble fest. Wow. They couldn't even get the peg right.
In the end, I knew mostly what I was getting and bought her anyway, so besides the loose peg, I can't really be upset and I am not. Especially since the odds are she will be mostly in the sitting pose (assume she doesn't fall off the slab, like she just did!). Despite her faults, I think she will look okay when I put together the full Ghostbusters display in a few weeks.
I know we hate to settle for our toys, but sometimes it's settle or don't get it at all. Sometimes I don't get it at all (Young Justice 4" figures), sometimes I settle, as I did with Dana.

The November 15th 2012 Bundle Page is up... and the news isn't good for Ghostbusters fans. http://www.mattycollector.com/store/mat ... 2227116709Not only is Courtroom Ray the final confirmed figure for the Ghostbusters line, but they also decided to raise the price to $25? It looks like Matty is really trying to stick it to Ghostbusters fans. I know Dana as Zuul was $25, but she was an SDCC exclusive (and due to the higher tooling cost). I wonder if this is just a mistake by DR or is Mattel trying squeeze as much blood from the few remaining diehards as possible?

Actually here is Mattel's statement on the price increase for Courtroom Ray:
"The reason prices have gone up on GB figures is due to fewer figures produced. The fewer we make, the more it costs and therefore the more we have to sell them for. Alas the line has not been performing as well as we would have liked which is why Ray is the final figure for the time being. (and also why we have to charge more, he is the lowest produced figure we have done and will only be offered this once. If you are holding off on him hoping he will go discount, I can tell you this is your one and only chance to complete your collection.
I really wish we could charge 20.00 per fig, but we just aren't selling enough GB figure to produce them and sell them at this rate. 25.00 is the lowest we can sell this figure for due to the very small run.
And Slimer is still coming. Not to worry."

Ehhh... whatever. I'll still buy Courtroom Ray just to complete the set. I don't care if his price is a little higher. It's the last figure in the line, so it doesn't really matter at this point. It's just a shame we'll never get Gozer and the demon dogs. That would have made a hot-selling convention exclusive.

Woo! Final item in the line! Got that, too, but my invoice is only showing one Slimer and not two. Mattel had stated that we'd get one for each sub, not one per subscriber. Wonder when/if they'll straighten this out...

Got my Slimer on Saturday. A nice little freebie, but nothing essential. Large in-package pic: http://i47.tinypic.com/2hhi2au.jpgI hope you guys who ordered multiple subs get the correct amount of Slimers.
