Sure. That's cool with me. It'll give me enough time to read A Feast for Crows. I was waiting for this season to end, to get started on that one.

Just wow.

That last episode was INCREDIBLE. I really don't see how the final episode of the season will be able to top it.

Finally!

That was what I've been waiting for all season.
Granted, it needed a lot of build up, but I'm glad the pay off really paid off.

Next weeks episode, I fear, will be nothing but a whole slew of cliffhangers. Which will make waiting for Season 3 that much more of a hassle.

There are a few nitpciky things from the book that I would've liked to see handled differently, but for the most part, they hit the marks in the best way they were able given the constraints of the medium.

How can you not love this show? With no Rob, Danaerys or Jon Snow last episode, I would expect to see a least a little of them in the season finale. The wait for next season is gonna be brutal. I mean, would it have been asking so much to get at least 13 episodes like just about every show? I guess if my only complaint about a show, is why there's not more of it, that's a good thing right? :wink:

Phenomenal season finale. Wow. The whole scene with Danaerys and the dragons was nothing like that in the books, but I honestly didn't mind the liberties that they took. They did a great job of showcasing everyone, and I think the episode was about 8-10 minutes longer than usual. So very pleased with it. Not looking forward to a 9 month break though...

OK ... so, not quite the Cliffhanger ending I was expecting, but it was a hell of a hook to get to next season.

And next season promises to introduce us to a whole slew of new and "important" characters (casting has already been announced).

I'll be back in July to give my episode run-through comparison to the book for those of you that want to know.

I guess I'm in the minority, but except for the last 10 minutes or so, I thought it was a very mediocre episode. Yes, the ending was frickin' awesome, but I spent most of the episode thinking "Come on, guys, step it up a few notches, it's the SEASON FINALE!!!" :lol:

Finally started to dig deep into the book. Should have it completed by the end of the summer. Then I'll have to decide if I want to read the next one before season 3, as I've heard there's quite a bit in it that didn't occur on the show yet.

OK gang,

two episodes into Season 3 and NO ONE is talking?!?!

Let's get the party started.

So far, without any spoilers, I'm liking how things are starting off. Again, they seem to be back on line with events in the books (season 2 really went in some different directions with some of the cast) although the timeline is heavily truncated, but still effectively done.

Since I'm all caught up on the books, I know, approximately, what to expect, but so far I am enjoying the ride getting there.
