I'm confused. Is the Bandai classics and regular line officially dead?
There are so many fans for this line I can't believe it's struggling like this. What's the problem?

Yep, seems like the line is dead... hopefully Hasbro or Mattel will scoop up this property.

Per TOYNEWSI (06/05/12): Ever since Toy Fair in February when Bandai failed to show any new ThunderCats product for the rest of 2012, there has been a question about what the future holds for the line. As of late, a number of rumors have been popping up around the net about Bandai losing the license and how other companies like Hasbro or Mattel are looking to pick it up.
We decided to go to Bandai and find out if there is any truth to these rumors. According to them, there is not. They tell us that they are still the master toy licensee for ThunderCats. The Spring 2012 product line has rolled out here in the US and their product line is not canceled, as they are currently rolling out ThunderCats product globally in conjunction with the TV show being airing internationally.
So there you have it. As for when we might get word of new products for us in the US, that still remains somewhat a mystery as well as the status of the show on Cartoon Network. For now though, it would seem unlikely any other toy company will be getting their hands on this license any time soon.

Thanks for the info Nightwing73. I can't decide if that's good news or bad news. Honestly, I'm surprised how poorly Bandai is doing with this line since they do pretty well with others.

With all the characters they've shown recently i hope we at least get another wave with Pumyra, Kaynar (Jackalman), Jaga, and Attikus (monkian). And of course so many more characters for the classics line.

Why have the license and not make any toys? Maybe they'll have a Tcats SDCC exclusive this year:)

Bandai showed figures at E3, the same ones but still why show them if the line is dead right? So this could mean there is new product on the way... it's just taking it's time getting here, hopefully.

Don't forget JLU has had clearance sales multiple times and the line didn't end even at Target where most of those clearance sales happened. I hope the lines isn't dead. I need Monkian, Jackalman, Ratar-O, Pumyra, and Vultureman! !
