Frankly, I think the poll was/is more for the chair than for the figure. The figure will be released either way, I would guess.

I can see them putting Metron in the reminders for the sub-holders to know that he's going to ship this month, but having him on the bundle page makes no sense at all.

I always thought they put up the club figure as a not-for-sale item during the monthly sales. I think it's moronic too; just not anything new.
