I guess I wasn't paying attention since this was my least wanted club figure, but no open hand to hold the lantern sucks!

Thank you TRD. I thought I was losing my mind or received a error figure when I opened the white box to make sure the paint app's were ok. I received mine, along with Metron a few days ago and I'm actually debating on if I'm keeping him or not? I don't know enough about the character to really care about him. He belonged in the GL waves or DCU not in the sub

He belonged in the GL waves or DCU not in the sub I agree, but I guess enough people were happy to get him, so I won't complain. I considered selling mine off too, but he fits in on the current Lantern shelf I have going, so I just stuck him up there, lantern at his feet . On the other hand (and slightly different topic), Atrocitus is the only reason I decided against a second sub. Despite wanting Rocket Red about as much as Atrocitus, I probably should have gotten a second sub and second Metron and sold off the rest.

Originally, the figure wasn't even supposed to come with a lantern at all, so "last minute" changes to change his hand just "couldn't" happen (or at least that is Mattel's answer for this.
I knew the figure was slightly "undersized" but man, it feels really small in my hands. Maybe it is because I just finished pawing all over Metron and his Chair, but Atrocitus really feels like he needs some more mass...
Sculpted beautifully, though, I'll give them that.

Yep, beautifully sculpted. I thought I was the only one that thought he was a tad on the small side Can you post some pics of him next to the rest of your GL shelf TRD?

Check the pics on this thread on the 'Mess... http://www.criticalmess.net/index.php?topic=15006.5565 Damnit. Now I'm gonna have to track down a DC Direct Atrocitus. Hopefully my LCS still has one, and it isn't marked up 7000%. First I've got to find a sucker to pawn this Atrocitus off on...

I'm thinking I might be selling mine too. Like I said, I have no connection to him and the DCD looks so much better. I'll check my LCBS just in case you can't find it locally Alcinde

Check the pics on this thread on the 'Mess... http://www.criticalmess.net/index.php?topic=15006.5565DANG! The DCD version just makes Mattel's look... stupid. If I actually cared about the character, I'd be a tad bit upset, especially if I waited for the Mattel version.

The problem with the DCD Atrocitus is those wrists. The open hand is at a permanent right angle.
Jo someone who WANTS Atrocitus, but hasn't got one due to DR's stupid inability to deal with cards *grumble, grumble grumble*

I don't like the mismatch of metallic paint between DCD and DCUC. Maybe that's just me but I'd rather have everyone one way or the other.

Ok, so it looks like I won't be getting an Atrocitus from Matty. Please PM me if you want to sell him, I'll be the guy in the corner with the sad face Jo
