"Ghouls Rule" dolls are out at Toys "R' Us. $26.99. I hope they are cheaper at Target and Walmart. My daughter picked up the only one they had left, a Frankie Stein (which I think is the best looking of the "Ghouls" line).

From the pics I've seen, Frankie certainly looks the best, though I think Draculaura and Cleo might have the theming a little better. I do have to say "What the hell were they thinking with that Clawdeen?!?!?..."

Clawdeen looks terrible! The other two are cool, but Frankie reminds me of a glammed up version of her mother.

Has anyone seen the pics floating around online of all the new product? Not sure where it originated but they are definitely Mattel publicity photos. Two new characters introduced in "A Night in Scaris" line - Skeleta Cavalaris and JenniFire Long. A Skeleton and Chinese Dragon. There's also 2 new Create a Monster sets. A Mummy/Gorgon set and an Ice Girl/Blob Girl set. SOOOO MUCH cool stuff!!!! Also, apparently there is a Ghoulia that comes with her scooter. I think its an exclusive, but I'm not sure where. If anyone has an idea... or better yet FINDS one... please let me know.

If anyone has an idea... or better yet FINDS one... please let me know. I missed those over the weekend, apparently Mattel had a take-down on the sites that had them posted. I managed to find the two new characters (one source called the dragon "Jadefire Long" which makes more sense than Jennifire) and the two CAM starters in someone Flickr feed but I still haven't seen the other Scaris dolls or the It's Alive assortment... Anyway, the Ghoulia with scooter and Draculaura with her tub are exclusive to TRU, they've both been found in Oz already. There's also a Frankie and Abbey with two extra sets of clothes and shoes that have been found at TRUs in Spain, hopefully those will make it over here, as well. I found the Rollermaze dolls and the new Dead Tireds at a Kroger last Thursday (I think it was), they look so much better than the images that are out there, especially Lagoona (don't get the single of Ghoulia if you're going to get those, K-Mart has a two-pack with Ghoulia and an exclusive Abbey). Costco is getting the Coffin Bean set with Clawdeen and a bonus Draculaura. JCPenny is getting the Sweet 1600 car with an exclusive Draculaura. Kohl's is getting Clawdeen and Operetta dressed in slight variations on their current fashion pack outfits. Target is getting the Scary Tale dolls and a Skull Shores 5-pack (color Frankie, Draculaura, Ghoulia and exclusive Clawdeen and Cleo) and Walmart is getting a Dot Dead Gorgeous three-pack (three exclusive dolls -- Draculaura, Abbey and Ghoulia). The standard Dot Dead Gorgeous dolls are starting to show up (I know Spectra and Operetta are in there, not sure who else) and the two create-a-monster blank face add-ons (for the lab) are said to be available, but the lab isn't yet. Hope I didn't cover too much old ground with that... Found this link, it's pretty good, though it does need a slight up-date... http://tattoomyheart.com/mhcheck/I got two of the Gloom Beach five-packs from an out-of-the-way Target last week, going to put together one good set of dolls (every set in stock had at least one problem doll in it) and use the extras for frankensteining with the CAM add-on packs. I'm still amazed at all of the little details that go into each design... Example, the Rollermaze Lagoona has a pirhana (sp?) print on her outfit and Frankie has little hexes (for the nuts and bolts thing she has going on).

Jim... Your post is like porn. I'm obsessed with these dolls. I got my playset this weekend (on my birthday actually) and decked it out. I LOVE IT. I'll try to post pictures this week.

New stuff found today... At TRU, I found a Dot Dead Gorgeous Spectra. No big deal compared to the regular release. Different, but not enough to justify the purchase, IMO. They had the rest of the Ghouls Rule dolls too. They all look good, except Clawdeen, which if you can get her hair like on the box will make for a marked improvement. But she is still the weakest of the four. The school playset has gone up by $5, so it must be selling . At K-Mart, they had the Coffin Bean Set for $31.99. That Clawdeen looks pretty good. And I am finally seeing the new CAM sets everywhere around me. I hope Mattel offers the new colored torsos as parts on their website.

ARRGH! I had been waiting for Cornerstore Comics to put up their SDCC pre-orders and I missed them. CSC wanted double for the Scarah Screams and Hoodoo set, which wasn't too bad by their standards on some exclusives, but I missed it. Hopefully, Matty gets some and I can grab one when they go on-sale after the con. I will pay extra to get one, but I will not pay ridiculous prices, especially since Mattel seems to get these out by other venues eventually. Cupid is a regular release now and I gather we will see Howleen again and maybe the Werecat twins too.
and for the record, I think Scarah is a bit boring, but my daughter saw a picture of her and thought she looked creepy, in a good way! I think it's the eyes.

Yeah I think she's a bit boring too. Especially since she's the Comic Con exclusive. I was so sure that since she WON the fan choice that Headmistress Bloodgood would be the exclusive. I also think that the name is the least clever name they came up with. Scarah Screams? I mean, if they are going to a play on the old Hall and Oats song "Sarah Smiles" I guess that works, but if she's Irish, and a Banshee, why not Scarah O'Wailin' or something.
Whatevs. I'm just excited for HooDoode! Though is anyone else a little miffed that his eyes aren't real plastic buttons?

I really think that she got the votes because she's in the background of almost every webisode and she's one of the more distinctive backgrounders -- she has a cohesive "look" to her and doesn't seem like a random outfit thrown on a random character. TRDouble wrote: I think it's the eyes. Yeah, I think that's part of it, too... The main characters have pretty expressive eyes and the backgrounders tend to just have dots for pupils. Scarah having no pupils (like HooDude and his button eyes) really makes her stand out. Quote: Whatevs. I'm just excited for HooDoode! Though is anyone else a little miffed that his eyes aren't real plastic buttons? That and that his face is too round (almost like Raggedy Andy) compared to the animation design. Would've been nice if they could've come up with a safe way of putting the pins in him, too...
