If you don't want to click over, the jist is NECA has the license to produce the least well known Marvel characters as collectibles.

Mind boggling. How does this work with Hasbro's license? Can NECA ask DC if they can have all of there "obscure" characters? If our old DC characters like Kamandi were part of the problem @ retail, NECA somehow thinks it's viable to make a Squirrel Girl figure? BEFORE we say complete the Metal Men or an Elongated Man is produced. This seems to fly in the face of everything we've been told about the decline of the action figure isle *cough moms and kids*. God bless 'em if this is done right and to Marvel collectors: enjoy.

If they are quirky, they will probably do well.

I'd buy a Squirrel girl action figure. I've liked that character for many years.

But hey, I'm a big fan of the Great Lakes Avengers.

NECA has an uneven track record. Who knows if these will be in Marvel Legends or Marvel Universe scale. I HOPE They will, but something tells me all it is, is just ANOTHER line of figures to collect that don't fit in any real collection.

You also have to realize NECA does a bunch of other odd products as well-- not just action figures- so they may be just doing headknockers, standees, barware, tins, plush etc..

I have a feeling you wont be seeing any "figures" out of this arrangement. -I mean Hasbro stopped Lego-- you think NECA will propose any problem?

The press release says toys-not action figures specifically- but NECA also makes Card games, board games, dolls, wind ups, inflatables---

A company can put a graphic on almost any stock item without much investment- so those things lead themselves more to the obscure.
