Mystery, you say? Scooby Doo?

I know a lot of folks are guessing it's Back to the Future. I'm just guessing it's a line that won't sell as much as Matty wants it to and it will be chalked up as another failure on our part as consumers.

Can't be as toyguru has stated that their will be no 6 inch line as their is not enough interest. He has clearly stated this, so if they change their mind i will be hoping mad as i passed on the hover board because of this.

My guess, the Mini-Masters. People keep asking about them and Mattel keeps saying that they want to do them and are looking for the right execution. Getting a sub up and running seems to be a good way to guarantee sales numbers to me.

I wonder what those would be priced at in a sub.

My gut says that they'll be sold in pairs ("vs" sets) if they ever get around to them but no idea of how they might approach pricing them...

What about the recent legal matters being resolved for the 1960s Adam West Batman series as far as merchandising goes? Maybe a subscription of 6" figures based on that show?

This would be awesome, but have they had anywhere near enough time to develop such a line since the recent resolution?

All it has to be is just an announcement and maybe some pre-production design sketches of some of the figures on their slideshow presentation. I'm sure that would be enough to get fans of the show excited.

That Would be cool--

But why would I have a feeling the first figures we'd see would be Aunt Harriet, Commisioner Gordon and Alfred.

I have a feeling I just wouldnt be a completist with that line-- probably just the villians, and even then I dont know If I could go for the boring ones like Falseface or the Bookworm, or Louie the Lilac -- (BTBATB- versions yes-- real life- not so much..)

I would buy Lord Ffogg, Lady Peasoup, and Lady Prudence so fast it'd make your head spin. And if I could get a Batman vs. Joker (both in surfing trunks with boards) two-pack, I might just about cry.

Hot Toys just unveiled a 1/6 scale 1960s Batmobile. So if they're able to whip that up this fast, I don't see why Mattel couldn't already have a 6" figure line already underway.

I'm still hoping for a Back to the Future line more though. :P

Forgive my ignorance: how big is 1/6 scale? Are we talking GI Joe/Star Wars, DCUC, Barbie, or bigger?

1/6 = 12" figure sized.

This should give you a clear idea of scale:

So Mattel has a display of their old toy line Matt Mason could this be it?

Id love it, if it was in scale with the 4HM OSM

The thing about the '60s Batmobile, though, is that companies have always been able to license it - it's only the likeness rights to the actors/characters from the show that have recently been made available. Mattel has had multiple versions of the '60s Batmobile over the years. So Hot Toys may have been producing that well before the news came out about the likeness rights.

I'm kinda surprised nothing leaked at Preview Night.

I guess we'll have to wait until Friday.
