Two more waves (not including wave 3) for this year would be awfully nice...

I bet we just get Wave 4 and a couple figures from the first wave of 2013. I don't think we'll get past 4 waves this year.

Great. Now the BAF is completely gone, replaced by those Avengers stands. Why doesn't anyone want to give us value for our money anymore?

Why doesn't anyone want to give us value for our money anymore? yeah I saw this coming, I knew they $15-$18 with a BAF was not going to last, I think it only made it for the 1 st 2 waves b/c they were so far into the production and design.

I guess the new perk replacing BAFs are the shared characters that has worked so well thus far Getting the BAF was great, but since they can pack large characters like Marvel's Wrecking Crew members on a card and that's pretty much what we have been getting for BAFs lately, I can get by without them, despite the loss of value. It may have the adverse effect of me no longer needing to buy a full series though (I am looking at you, Drax!). As for the stands, I like stands. But if you are going to make stands, give me something I can use. I know some people like these stands, but they are just cumbersome and have no place on a shelf full of figures. McFarlane still makes the best stands -- simple and round with the perfect circumference for a 6-7 Inch action figure, flat to maintain a uniform height and clear, which is just my preference.

I didn't even notice those in the picture! The black & white guy is Noh-Varr. I like him and Red She-Hulk. The others? No so much. I was never a fan of the Toy Biz Sentry, but I did not consider him one that needed to be remade, like Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, Black Panther, etc. Unless he is back in comics? I just found a MOC Toy Biz Archangel the other day while cleaning. His body was skinny, but he was good enough. With the SDCC X-Force exclusive box set, I guess getting a regular version was a no brainer though. I don't really need a white costume Iron Fist either, but I am sure people won't mind him.

And Hasbro's 2012: The Year Of Suck continues. Oh well, more money for Legos! I'll be skipping Punisher and Deadpool for sure. Doom I'll have to see better pictures to decide. We're not off to a great start here.

So far I'm a bit underwhelmed... But let's not forget... Jean Grey and Stryfe are still in the mix somewhere.

Okay, now that we have some decent images: IRON MAN: My favorite armor. Glad we are finally getting it, but those boots/feet are too big. The "moon boot" look came a couple years later. Layton designed that armor and the boots were much more compact. I give them a B+ on that one. DANI MOONSTAR: Is just boring looking. I see a spear (where's her bow) and a big ugly yellow X. Just not a good version of her IMO. C- USAGENT: Another figure I've been waiting for. They did a solid job on this one, even if there appears to be a lot of reuse. No qualms about him at all. A DOOM: Looks decent. I still like the original one I got in those early waves of ML, but it might be time for an upgrade (never did get the FF version). B+ BLADE: Very good. Didn't get the first one, so I'll be picking up this one. A- MYSTIQUE: Man, that just can't seem to nail female faces, can they. She's not as bad as Viper, but still . . . The rest of her looks pretty good, though, and I like this costume better than the white one. C+ DEADPOOL: Have the original, but might try for the X-Force version. He'd look good with the X-Force 3 pack. Probably won't be able to find him, though. B PUNISHER: PASS. Hate that character. Of course, no BAF really sucks, but I'll be able to skip some now without regret. So ML Wave 3: Iron Man, USAgent, Blade are must buys for me. Mystique and X-Force Deadpools are probable buys. Doom and Moonstar are iffy right now. Maybe they'll look better in person. BTW according to the tags, Wave 3 will be in October and we won't get another wave until Spring 2013. I guess three Waves a year will be the new norm?
