At this point, my money is on Major Matt Mason. I really can't see anythinng else that would fit the bill after the display went up.

Well, if it is, it'll be another toyline I can safely ignore.

I never owned anything from that line so it holds no interest to me.

If it is Matt Mason, seems like an odd line to bring back, cant see there being a ton of support for them

That would be hilarious

How funny and appropriate

It's a vintage Mattel line of Astronaut type figures. Something akin to G. I. Joe before Real American Hero...

Google or eBay it for plenty of easy hits

Oh those lil bendy astronaut guys. I've tried buying some of his play sets on eBay recently.

Considering the parts re-use that the line had and the success the Horsemen have had with the OSM I think Matty might be taking a gamble on that. Imagine a collector oriented line in 3 3/4" scale with Glyos connectors and sculpted by the Horsemen?... Seems like it could be a pretty easy sell if is what Mattel is planning to sell.

Tom Hanks is supposed to be producing a CGI MMM film and voicing the lead, maybe it's further along than anyone knows though I would expect movie toys to be at retail, not Matty.

Me neither.

I was born in '71 and I have never heard of this line. When was it released?

In the showcase of Major Matt products, I could not help but notice that all of the astronauts shared the exact same buck but in different suit colors....this is becoming easier to guess by the minute...

I think it's pretty cool. At least I know I won't get stuck with any characters I don't care about.
