Hey everyone,
I was thinking about how there are so many female figures left to be made that we'll never see them all unless we have an opportunity to get them out faster. Suppose we had a 1 or 2 yr subscription to really flesh out some of these heroines and villains to go alongside the already existing DCUC sub. Whether or not they continue to add female figs is up in the air but we're lucky to get 2 or 3 per year as it is. Mattel seems worried that female figs don't sell but if they saw support to show that we'd buy off a list like this or similar...maybe they could even advertize this particular sub with the figs attached and make it a 2 yr commitment, would you sign up?
I realize that not every figure made is everyone's favorite but c'mon we used to buy 5 series of up to 7 figures each per year plus 2 packs and online stuff. If we only realized that supporting the current sub and/or an additional one of only $20 or less a month would allow us to get to very obscure characters that we'd only dream of seeing otherwise then let's do it. I bet there's many like myself who didn't want Kamandi, OMAC, Cyclotron or the whole Rainbow wave but most of us continued when there was only a figure or two there in a wave we didn't like. Now just think of it as a way to support getting an obscure Titan like Pantha or Bumblebee or for those fanatics that want the calculator or kite man (sorry they don't do it for me) but I'd get them if it meant my continued support got Jericho, Maxima, Bloodwynd, Red Star and the Ray down the road.
So here's my proposed lists and if they linked quarterly variants to get different versions of same characters out along with making the theme at SDCC female based, think of how awesome it would be to complete these teams and fill our rosters. This list while not covering every angle out there would flesh out Titans, LOSH, JLI, Birds of Prey, Outsiders, Suicide Squad & Secret Six, Fearsome Five, Brotherhood of Evil and Apokolips warriors.
Year One:
Sub Exclusive: Fire/Ice 3 pack (includes translucent flame version Fire)
Convention Exclusive: Birds of Prey – 5 pack Oracle, Black Canary & Huntress variants, Gypsy, Katanna
Quarterly Variants: Troia, Zatanna (Perez), Miss Martian (Comic accurate), Fatality as Star Sapphire
Yearly Lineup: Dr. Light II, Vixen, Ravager (alternate heads), Dawnstar, Crimson Fox, Bumblebee Killer Frost, Cheshire, Phobia, Circe, Emerald Empress, Fatality
Year Two:
Sub Exclusive: Granny Goodness
Convention Exclusive: Female Furies - 5 pack Lashina, Stompa, Mad Harriet, Bernadeth, Knockout
Quarterly Variants: Wonder Girl Cassie (jeans), Cheetah (animal skin), Maxima (purple/gold), Mera as Red Lantern
Yearly Lineup: Huntress, Phantom Girl, Wonder Girl (Cassie), Mera, Pantha, Halo Plastique, Shimmer, Silver Swan, Blackfire, Scandal Savage, Queen Bee
Any thoughts?
Boots

I wouldn't buy into the sub if it had as many variants/exclusives/multipacks as you list in your "wish list" (that would really just be a waste of time and money in my opinion), but if they were to offer a sub (standard 12 fig a year with 1 or 2 oversized) I would most likely buy into it.
I would much rather they just change up the mix of the current sub so that we get more females there, but if an "all-female sub" is the only option, I'd be ok with that.
I guess.

I don't know. I don't think they've fully got the concept down of a regular DCUC sub. Not sure how I'd feel about an all female.
I think the female bucks are kind of crappy.
I definately think they could give us more females, but I wouldn't committ to this. Unless I knew who all 24 figures would be (or whatever).
It's a shame they can't give us a list of 30 figures (or pick your number) and take votes for the top 12. No good way to operate that. But man, I think they could get the sub list up.

Don't agree with your Year One. Here's mine: 1) Mera 2) Scandel Savage 3) Huntress 4) Batwoman 5) Spoiler 6) Vixen 7) Ravager Aquagirl 9) Knockout 10) Chesire 11) Dawnstar 12) Bleez Sub Exclusive: Granny Goodness I don't need quarterly figures, although a Female Furies three pack would be cool.

I'd certainly be more apt to buy this than the sausage fest we are currently getting. Wow! Poison Ivy? After 20 waves and a sub, thank you so so much Mattel. (gets up and claps very sarcastically) Bravo!

If it got use some more female Legionnaires, I'd be in. Phantom Girl, Dawnstar, Shadow Lass, Light Lass (or Lightning Lass), Saturn Queen, Lana Lang as Insect Queen, Dreamer/Dream Girl, Triplicate Girl/Duo Damsel, Shrinking Violet (as a mini pack-in too!), Princess Projectra... if we are not going to get another Legion Set, I'd like to see at least of few of these females joing Saturn Girl on the shelf.

I'd quite happily buy all those sets and subs.
I wonder if they would think about a themed mini-sub each year as an add-on. Four quarterly figures, or even six, one every two months, with a linking theme such as all female, all Flash rogues or all Teen Titans.
Minimal new tooling (mostly just heads), and offered only with a standard sub as well.
Jo

I think this would be a brilliant sub, and would be as popular as similar lines like the women of DC busts that DC Direct is.
There are easily enough A list females that could keep a sub going for a year. Heck just in the Batman family and his rouges you could fill most of the sub. But this is where they could put legionnaire females, female furies, birds of prey and a Lois Lane. I'd definitely buy into that as a sub.

I'd be in for 2 subs. That's a ton of figures though.
