Just found out that the Lego Comicon exclusive this year will be a Shazam (Captain Marvel) minifigure.

Maybe we'll get lucky and this site will get one to give away for a contest! (I can dream anyways).

Ug, So cool.

Dammit. I can think of a word for each letter of SHAZAM that isn't comic book or AFi appropriate! Lego is really putting the screws to a good percentage of their fanbase with stunts like this. Exclusivity may trump availability, but these are Lego Minifigures. And these convention exclusives are purposely made in extremely small amounts for no reason other than 'Hey, look at this fanboys!' Or, 'Hey! SDCC-goers! Pad your pockets with this when you sell 'em.'

On another note, if anyone actually manages to snag these Captain Marvel(or other Lego promos) at SDCC this year, keep those of us who cannot attend in mind. MYXLPLYX would be first in line for such a request. I humbly add myself to the list in second place.

A list? That's a good idea. Check out the main Brick Builders section momentarily :)

When it comes to stuff like this... lego does not care. All their money comes from the standard legos bought from brick and mortar stores, and I don't think they really care that much about the collectors let alone pissing us off. At least the superhero/lotr/SW collectors.

Veil1, they really don't understand how things like this can help to sow apathy on the part of collectors. However, they will still make their money, as a ton of kids actually do play with Lego toys, along with us adults. Such ultra limited minifigures only exist to cater to rich or lucky collectors, and to get them worked up about them. The sad thing is, if the Captain Marvel minifigure was packed with or was a giveaway the SHAZAM! DVD set it's meant to advertise and garner buzz for, I'd buy the DVD set. It would certainly move far more SHAZAM! DVD sets if it was included, as all Lego collectors who found out about it would plunk down money for it.

ugh ...!!!

the Bizarro figure is already going for upwards of $100 on eBay with a set of all 4 figures starting around $600!

I guess I'm out on these two... :(

I got a Shazam and a Black Spiderman, but not a Bizaro or Phoenix.

The Shazam has 2 different faces on the head.

It's awesome when Lego does that. From what I've seen online, both Phoenix and Bizarro have two faces as well.
