Thats one step in the right direction-having the rights is a good thing- but Im sure they still need sculpt approval from the actors or their estates-- and thats where you have issues-- some actors visualize themselves differently then they actually look.

Yeah, isn't that why it took awhile to get Peter Venkman in the 6" Ghostbusters line, because there was a little bit of a hold up on Bill Murray approving the likeness? The same could happen with one of the Batman characters if one of the actors or their estate is real picky and demands that Mattel redo the sculpt.

Is this a retail release or some kind of club release?

I wasn't sure about the release of this line but I admit I'm now excited!

And if a batmobile is part of this deal then you can definitely count me in!

The slides at the panel say retail but anything can happen over a year's time so don't be surprised if it does end up on Matty.

To be honest, the Movie Master 60's Batman was the best news of the entire SDCC. I will buy every figure Matty release in this line.

Of course I would love to get a Tim Burtom Batman too
