Was there any talk of Action League at SDCC? Did Mattel say where the 5 pack is at? How about the next wave with Plastic Man hanglider w/ Atom? Is this yet another DC line that's tanked?

As much as you want the 5 pack-- I want the other 10 or so characters they showed for the BATB incarnation and never released-- and if you are going to repack- how about repack the atom single that was only avaiable at oddball locations that carried single packs...

The problem is we know that most of this stuff has seen production.

There are plenty of loose 'Larfleeze's and new ball-shoulder 'Atom's (the one that will hang from "Glider Plas" all over ebay for relatively low prices.

Transparent Martian Manhunter and Return of Batman figures also show up fairly frequently.

Captain Marvel/SHAZAM! and "pants" Wonder Woman are the rarer finds and usually go for bigger dollars.

But they are all there on eBay. And I keep watching some. And not bidding because I think that 5 pack and next wave have got to be right around the proverbial corner.

So, yeah. I would LOVE an update on Action League.

Please don't let this line die like everything else Mattel has been handling lately.

Why is Shazam always in the short changed category. Last go round of JLU, no BatB figure, even though he was tooled, no Young Justice, even though he was tooled. And the Action League is like a jewel in a mine.

He's my favorite character (my dogs' name is Shazam) and he always gets the shaft.

I'll be shocked if it isn't dead. I hope the last wave of doubles (singles with accessories) and the 5 pack make it out in normal numbers. It's too bad, I thought a line like this could have the same kind of legs that Marvel's superhero squad had.

It was never given the output or effort that SHS had.

Mattel kind of put it out there to "test the waters" and they clearly weren't ready for the response. They kept output slow and barely steady. By the time people were realizing what the line was and its potential, the retail partners had already found a new use for that peg space.

It just feels mis-managed right from the get-go.

I wish I was wrong, but Action League is clearly the red-headed step child of Mattel's DC branding which is an utter shame and a complete disappointment.

This line should have churned out countless figures from every corner of the DCU in 2 packs, multipacks, vehicle/playset packs, etc. We should quite literally have an army of these figures at our disposal in the time frame that this line has been alive vs. the 2 dozen or so figures they tried to give us in a year.

It just wasn't ever given its fair amount of effort internally it would seem.

Me too! I thought they had carded samples of that wave at ToyFair, that would mean there's a chance of still getting that wave. Right?

Th WW is neat too. In the new 2 packs (figure and accessory) is the Batan a first appearance Bats. It looks like it from the bat emblem and what appears to be purple gloves.

So do this mean Canadian scalpers will start flooding Ebay with them?

Our neighbors to the north seem to jump on these like panthers - scalping is universal!

Yeah, they sent me a sample of the 5-pack over a month ago. They definitely went to manufacture.
