I am hoping someday they make a mask of Tengu Batman. I would not be surprised if Batman Unlimited wave 2 was Young Justice Batman, Superfriends Batman and someone easy like Ras Al Ghul.

DC Direct made a Mask of Tengu Batman a few years ago.

And I have it for sale if you want it :D

-And Ricky- based on SDCC and the constant packaging changes (some lines twice within the same year)- I think the marketing/Art department of Mattel is the most valued part of the toy lines-- dont worry about the toys-- make the box pretty

They're more evident than pictures due it justice.

I don't like the costume on paper but as a figure it really is pretty cool!

New sculpted details or reuse of the standard buck? Also shouldn't the cape have more bat-like points.

Buying pre-orders from some guy online on a series that hasn't officially seen the light of day yet?

That figure and the New 52 Superman are all over eBay right now.

Chinese sellers as always.

My guess is that he has a really cool backpack that he takes to work.

Just when it looks like Mattel was going to turn a corner....
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/list.aspx?list=10289

I appreciate Frank Miller's work on Dark Knight Returns, but I thought the notion behind the 6-inch lines was to have one cohesive style. Mattel is starting to play the game that DC Direct played by making artist-specific figures. I know that there are a lot of Batman/Batman Family fans that will want this, but it does seem to be an unsettling trend. Even the 1st Appearance Batman from Batman Legacy wave 3 at least fit (somewhat) into the style of the rest of the DC Classics line.

Interestingly enough, we also get another Batman in the DC Unlimited line? I know you have to strike when the iron is hot, but Mattel is really trying to make sure they load the action figure aisles with as much Batman merchandise as possible. We are slowly moving back into Batman Animated Series endless Batman variants-type thinking. Coming soon! Neon Green Zebra Phantom Zone Batman!

I like these figures a lot. Except the video game Bats. I wish that figure was in it's own, separate line. I just pre-ordered DKR Bats, Zur En Arhh Bats, and Wonder Woman. The New 52 JL looks to be shaping up nicely so far. I'm fine with legit comic-inspired Batman variants, but I also wish they'd do other characters like Damian, Batwoman, and more villains. I guess we'll see what comes down the pike in the future. Also, I hope smaller, two-figure assortments means the figs will come out more often.
