Hot Wheels 1:50 Batmobile Series - Will There Be More?

So it may be old new to you guys but it was the first I heard of it. But besides the Returns set and the set with the chrome Barris Batmobile I saw a third 3-Pack at TRU yesterday. It was both Tumblers (black & camo) along with the batpod.

BUT what I really would like to know is what is about the two versions of the Batboat and Batmobile I've asked for?

Can somebody here please enlighten me if there are indeed two versions of those vehicles?

I am only seeing one image for the 1989 Batmobile, but I never noticed the difference in the Batboats before. I wonder if they both came out, or if one is just a proto that was never released? I have the one with the Bat-symbol wheels. I wouldn't mind finding the other one though, if it exists.

FYI though, the article is from 2009, when these were first released. But I wonder if there will be any differences with the new stuff, or the ones released in the TRU Box Sets.

Yes, there is only one image of the 1989 Batmobile, but I think most of us know what the sell's version looks like.

The other batboat has the batsigns as well, just smaller. I think those are the wheels of the 1966 Batmobile. Could be the prototype, but I am wondering why the hitch looks so much different! The boats differ only in deteail.

So far I got lucky and found all the new 1:50's so far. Penguin Duck, '66 Batcopter and '40's Batmobile. Here's hoping my luck holds out and I find the Bat too. I passed on the TRU 3 packs, even the one with the chrome '66 as I aleady have the other two.

Just a warning for those of you (especially international collectors) that might be looking for the "The Bat" vehicle on eBay:

Hot Wheels is releasing the BAT in two scales: 1:50 and 1:64.

An example of the 1:64 scale packaging can be seen on the The BAT die-casts appearing now on ebay. Just as an example:

Right now most of the 'the BAT' die-casts available in eBay are for the 1:64 one.

Another warning for those of you that care about proper scaling: if we take the Hot Toys The Bat vehicle as reference, and compare it to the Ht Toys' batmobiles...

...both the 1:50 and 1:64 ones from Mattel are actually smaller than they should be. For instance, the 1:50 The Bat is more in the scale of the 1:64 batmobiles....

my hot toys tumbler took up a big section on my desk in the home office. HT Batpod fit on the bookshelf I can't imagine how big The Bat is going to be, even thou I can see the scale in the picture, hope they provide a ceiling mount with the set.

Also the cost... $650?

I was at a TRU Express in Washington (Centralia), and saw a few The Bats. Cool 'car', but passed. I'm more a fan of past/comic bat vehicles.

Anyone see this preoder for the 1950s Batmobile ? I pray they re-release the Batblade its wayyyy too much money on Ebay I bet they are I have noticed a trend of certain people on Ebay who must be privy to info dumping figures for insane prices right before they are re-released- Joker as Gotham thug, GB Rookie figure, and lately I have seen people dumping their 1989 Burton Batmobile and Batblades so I think they will be in future case mixes. I keep bugging the Matty retail team on Matty.com for a TNBA Batmobile and for them to re-release the Batblade. Any others people think should be done ? I would LOVE some of Batmobile from The Batman series. The figure line had like 4 or 5 Batmobiles. Also BATB would make a sickkkk 1:50th scale!

I’d like to see a Redbird Cycle to go with the Batblade. I’d also like TNBA Batmobile, Batwing and Batboat.

I don’t have the new ones on display yet and the only one of those I don’t have is The Bat
