Toys are playthings. They provide fun and entertainment. They aren't (and shouldn't be) investments. I couldn't care less about whether or not a toy I buy actually gains, loses, or draws with regards to the value it has in the marketplace.
I'm willing to wager most openers share this mindset. Seconded. As far as I'm concerned, if you're collecting toys as an investment, you're doing it wrong.

I'm half and half... I open my stuff but I also care for it because everything is a possible investment. I deal in comics I don't deal in toys so I'm a bit more relaxed about my toys.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I take care of my toys. Or at least I have since I grew up. I was pretty rough on them when I was a kid.

Very rarely do I ever pick up anything to resell. Unless it's a figure who comes with a BAF piece I don't care for or a lot of figures which some I don't want or have.
Overall collecting toys... is a broogle and she's utterly miserable...

Um, what's a woggie? I've seen that a few times now, and I have no idea what that means.

I'm glad I signed up despite the whole Red Hood fiasco. My biggest regret is no single stand out Titan yet. I mean Wally & CM3 fit - sorta. The big draw is Mallah & the Brain. There are a lot of characters I didn't want/need like Phantom Stranger and yes even to some degree Huntress (she's not a major want), but I am just hoping that my turn for wanted characters will come.

I know, right? What the Scooby Doo, Fraggle Rockin' Fred Flinstone is going on when you censor your boards. If you are going to do it, at least be cute about it and use Smurf or something. I was actually scratching my head on what word I used originally that turned into woggie Sorry Jim, not trying to bust your chops, but I've got to say it is amazing what slides and what is held accountable in the forum as of late. I definitely feel like there needs to be a signature left behind when a mod censors or alters a post I think this will cut down on some of the confusion when things like this happen.

I think its kind of obvious myself
Woggie- is what beavers build
broogle is that female dog.
flimmerflog is not Fudge
shingbling - is what the Matty answers are filled with every time

I definitely feel like there needs to be a signature left behind when a mod censors or alters a post I think this will cut down on some of the confusion when things like this happen. MOD- Personally, when I manually go in and edit a post for language I normally leave behind a trail of red asterisks (*****) where the offending word or phrase has been replaced and I usually attempt to PM the poster about the changes and why. I admit that sometimes I'm lax about that as either I've made the change in a hurry and have to edit the quoted replies as well or I'm just not in the frame of mind to write a diplomatic message at that particular moment, though I think most of the time it should be more than obvious why changes were made. As to what is "sliding" and what is "held accountable", I think that has more to do with the fact that none of us has the time to read every post that's made at all times and if a post isn't reported we simply didn't see it.

I never understood censoring words... we're all adults unless you're insulting someone maliciously... but then do we care if we have under age members? Without sounding creepy.... do we have under age members? Or do some of you check the forum with your kids in tow?
