New Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles Figures

Now I am very biased and love just about everything turtles...

and that hasn't changed. I love the new show. I thought the new Mikey was hilarious and the fight scenes looked very cool. I think Splinters new design is good, but he is proportioned a bit odd. My only real problems were that I don't like the voice actor they picked for Shredder. I think it should have been someone that sounded more... east Asian (I think that's what I mean). The other problem is I really hope this "Donnie has a crush on April" thing doesn't develop more. All in all, I'm hooked and love all the nods and sometimes direct quotes from past comics, shows and movies (Like Mikey saying "That was us!" during the telling of the origin, which is exactly what happens in the first movie).

Wave 1.5 has hit.

I just saw Dogpound and Metalhead at Walmart while on my way home from late night D&D. The 3rd figure (which I didn't see on the pegs, but is on the back of the card) is Fishfish, a sort of humanoid fish cyborg.

Metalhead was okay looking, but not cool enough for me to buy. Dogpound is VERY goofy with an absolutely HUGE head. Passed on him as well.

If these guys are what we can expect, I say bring back Beebop and Rocksteady.

Thanks for the heads-up, Shellhead! I'm probably going to get suckered into Metalhead just for nostalgia's sake, but Dogpound I've been against since I first saw the prototype. I'd love to see Bebop and Rocksteady.

Having seen the preview for next week's episode, I'd totally be on board for a figure of Dogpound's pre-mutated form. He actually looks cool. :wink:

He did look very cool in his ninja gear. Kind of reminded me of Xanatos from Gargoyles, for some reason.

The new TMNT action figures are good, realistic and detailed. But i personally think that the original ones were better even though they were not this detailed.

I managed to snag Dog Pound and Metalhead, but no luck with finding Fishface under $18. Dog Pound looked really nice when they first showed him off, but his actual paint ap is pretty awful.

I have plans on getting the play set, but I may not open it until Christmas, not sure yet but at this rate I'm not sure if I can wait, the boys are only 3 & 5 and they want every thing we are having a blast playing with them each weekend!

I have to say, my kids and I love the show and the new toys. I have a few issues with the toys, but the kids love them. The new wave is starting to hit well. Target had Dogpound (x2), Fishface, and Metalhead all on pegs. TRU had Dogpound (x4), Fishface (x2), and Metalhead (x4) on pegs as well. I do find it weird that Fishface is the figure to get. I really would have guessed Metalhead.

My issues with the toys are:
* Turtles weapons have no color
* Dogpound's paint
* Disstribution - why only 1 per case of Dogpound, Fishface, & Metalhead
* Why not release the characters in order. Toyfair showed pics of SnakeWeed & Baxtor Stockman. Why not release them before Dogpound or Fishface.
* Why not release pre-mutated forms of the characters as well

I just managed to find Fishface for $11.99 on Amazon with Free Supersaver Shipping/Prime. It's pretty close to the regular price for me, so I think it's a good deal if you're having trouble finding it.
