I wasn't aware of DST making a Munsters line, but I have to say, these look really good! My only thing is, I think I would have liked a B&W set more than a color one.

They had the painted prototypes in their booth, but no photography was allowed.
They REALLY look great.
They are also doing the Munster's car in the same scale as the Back to The Future Delorian.

The Munsters' car... that could be pretty cool too! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these!

BBTS has Herman, Lily and Grandpa up for pre-order; $19.99 each.
It's with product like this that I miss the good 'ol days of Media Play...

The Munsters Series 1 has arrived at online retailers' I haven't been to TRU to see if the retail versions are available yet. My set is the specialty versions and are in my Pile of Loot at BBTS. If they ever get DCUC Stargirl (or I find her at Target), I can finally ship that big 'ol pile Hopefully these sell well enough so that there will be a Series 2, but Diamond missed the boat a little by having them arrive so late in October. I was hoping to feature them in a Halloween display, but that will have to wait until next year.

My LCBS had them out yesterday-- and they were all over the Mid Ohio Con..

After finally having BBTS ship out my five month old Pile of Loot, I have... The Munsters! They are a very nice group of figures -- BIG! -- and are nice enough to stand as a group, in case we never get Eddie and Marilyn (and I have my doubts that they will ever get made). I'd have liked them for Halloween, but for now, they will stay MIP and go into the attic, or wherever I stored my other Halloween stuff, including The Peanuts and "Corpse Bride" figures, until next October.
One thing I noticed and am pleasantly surprised about... when I saw these in TRU, I thought the black paint wash on the faces was a little heavy and it was a tad disappointing. These do not have the heavy paint wash and the sculpts look that much better because of it.

Marilyn and Eddie are on the way! As long as Diamond doesn't cancel these, and I don't expect they will, by July we should have the rest of The Munsters!

BBTS put up a pre-order for a full "The Munsters" black & white set.
I am kind of torn. I prefer the B&W versions because that's what I watched as kid. And I knew Diamond was going to make these, but would they have been made if the color versions didn't sell as well as they seemingly did?
I put in a pre-order for the set and I will probably keep my Marilyn & Eddie color set, just to finish off the color versions. I envy those who waited though and might even consider selling off my MIP color versions.
