This project is for my Remco Universal Studios Mini Monsters, which are in 1/18 scale. I recently acquired a set of fast food mini monsters, some of which came with accessories. The Frankenstein Monster came with a monotone gray plastic lab table, which came in 3 pieces. As you can see from the pictures, it fits the Remco figure perfectly, so I decided to give it a custom paint job. Out of the entire set, I feel this is the best piece. It is simple to make, yet communicates the idea of the lab table perfectly. I am disappointed Remco never thought of anything like this. I started by disassembling it and giving the pieces a good base coat of white paint. This will help preserve the integrity of the colors I use. Next I repainted the base parts of the table gray. I added detail with brown for the straps and bronze for the “moving parts,” those elements that look like mechanical parts of the table. I painted black in the channels for the knobs and white, yellow, green and red in the gages. I trimmed the gages in bronze and used a sewing pin to dot the holes in the straps with black. CCC.

I just won an auction on Ebay for Naut Kei Loi and Bzzd for $7 total. Bzzd completes my GLC, except for any customs I want to add.

I finally got my first Blanx figure today. By comparison to MU figures it is about kid size, which could be a good thing. I hope they hurry up and make the others.

I was looking at Sandman figures on Google and saw a custom from an Absorbing Man, then I had an idea, so I took my extra AM and swapped heads with Wonderman, and one quick paint job later... Hydroman! Now these are the figures I enjoy making because we all know full well that Hasbro will NEVER make this one. CCC.
