Man, I hope they fix that ab joint on Aquaman. There's quite a gap there.

Wow. Aquaman doesn't look as good as the original DCUC figure IMHO. That Darkseid is awful and I have no interest in the video game figures. Total pass for me.

They all look horrible, I am still very open minded to Joker. In the end I will 99 % likely get Joker sight unseen but heres hoping he looks good.I just do not know how popular this game is going to be and a big minus in mattels corner in my humble opinion is the fact that these are packaged as DC Unlimited NOT JL Gods among us or whatever. I understand video game figures sell and stuff but I think you need to make sure the moms and pops know it from the game their kids play. The whole line up feels so odd and forced I mean so far its New 52 and Video game strictly ?

I wouldn't say it's strictly New 52 and Video games. After all Aquaman's suit is also his last pre-New 52 suit as per Brightest Day.
As for the seemingly mismatched parts. yeah unfinished protos. I wouldn't jump on em so quickly. LOTS of size inconsistencies (heads, capes, arms, torsos etc) Totes unfinished.

They look like bootlegs.
I agree that Aquaman will be getting some tweaks, but they can't tweak that Darkseid enough for him to be acceptable.
The retail team is completely lost.

Dear lord in heaven. Maybe these are rough mock-ups. These look a bit unprofessional. Maybe the finals will be better.

So glad I opted out when I only knew the names.
So far, of the 3 waves shown for DCU I'm getting possibly 2 figures, and for the BatU line I'm getting maybe 4.
2013 will be a light toy year for me!

Is it just me, or does Darkseid look like a He-Man body with a different head & hands and some overlay parts?

You're dead-on, Cap, but they'll probably say that it reuses the TDK Batman body from BU2...which they say only shares some parts with the MOTUC buck, even though anyone with eyes could see that they share more than just a few parts.

WOW, color me uninterested. I didn't read through the entire thread, but can see I'm not alone. Hopefully the final product looks better than the protos

For the most part, Mattel is dead at retail for me. So far I don't see that changing in 2013.

Hahaha... Darkseid's massively huge shoulder pads are HILARIOUS. Very 1980s (and not in a good way).
That Superman looks like some kind of bad early concept for the new Man of Steel movie costume. Horrific.
Aquaman looks decent if they fix the minor flaws with his body. He's the best of the bunch as far as costume design goes.
