Are these going to be available at the lego store? If so, I am so picking up a set or two for me and my son. Sheer awesomeness!

The Cuusoo releases generally aren't available through the Lego stores (or any other retail outlet that I am aware of really).

You pretty much have to follow the site for purchase information and mark your calendar for the date and time.

I haven't actually purchased any set yet, so I can't speak to the ease or difficulty of acquiring a set, but, depending on the price point, I'll definitely be wanting this one.

I do wonder though, is Lego doing the legal work to acquire licensing rights for these, or is there some loophole that lets them bypass that since these are "fan designed" and limited release items?

Got to be licensed as the video has all the Universal ownership info on it. I would say that the fact that the designers are donating their royalties to the Michael J. Fox Foundation probably helped in getting that license.

EDIT: from the CUUSOO site post about the car...

The final product is still in development in coordination with our license partner, Universal Partnerships & Licensing. We'll show the final model and you’ll be able to order your own copy when it becomes available in mid-2013 (exact dates and pricing to be determined).

I could have sworn I saw the Minecraft one at my local Lego store..... although I could be wrong.
