I bought a used figure display unit called the Ultarama years back on eBay, and suddenly remembered that I bought it for displaying JLU figures but never used it for that. I dug it out and spent a few hours setting up figures and it works great! You can see a picture of it holding some Justice League figures here in Poe Ghostal's fantastic stand review: http://www.poeghostal.com/2009/03/stand-in-the-place-where-your-figures-are.html The base is obviously styled with Star Wars figures in mind, which lends itself well to the Watchtower space station look. Sadly, the company that made the Ultarama seems to be out of business and I need more pegs! I filled about half of both levels of the display till I ran out, which was almost the perfect amount for figures that already have holes in their feet. I'll need to drill for the rest of them. Anyone know what size bit to use? The pegs I'm using are the standard 3 3/4" figure size which is perfect for almost all JLU figures. I did manage to find one online store that still has the whole unit in stock, if anyone knows where I can just get pegs though, please tell me. I'm really happy with this for display, as the weight of the base makes falling over an impossibility for even the most flimsy legs. Devil Ray is the only one who might be so soft-legged and top-heavy that he could wilt. Now the only other thing I need is a nice backdrop to print out. I remember someone posting images of JLU backgrounds, specifically the Question's room. Does anyone remember what thread that was and where I can find those images?

Ah, yes! The Ultarama was a great display setup. I used it for my Batman and Superman Animated figures years ago with custom backgrounds. The only problem I had was with the soft legged figures in the summer time.

Yeah Ultramas are great but I never really thought to use them with JLU figs since they don't have holes in their feet...for the most part. I got Star Wars backgrounds for mine. I was going to repurpose them for my Joes but when I tried printing my own backgrounds the background dimensions are bigger than a regular sheet of paper. How or what did you guys print your backgrounds on?

How or what did you guys print your backgrounds on? I found an article online about customizing them that reads that the backgrounds should be 8x10" so that should work. Let me know if anyone has good JLU backdrops in this size! http://www.rebelscum.com/ultacust.aspI also found that about half of the JLU figures seem to have peg holes. They started including them again a couple of years ago it seems. Here's a link to one store that still seems to have the Ultarama for sale, though I've never bought from them. http://www.alienentertainmentstore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=ULTARAMA-1-1&Category_Code=SW-AF

Finished up a cabinet display last weekend. Just waiting for the final 3 pack to arrive, replace KG Beast (who got the rawhide treatment from the dog) and get a custom GL Hal Jordan. Drawers below contain comics.
