Do these look off as in disproportionate to anyone else? Darkseid's head is too big and Aquaman's upper torso is way off for the lower part!

Yeah, Darkseid's oversized head and shoulder pads are laughably bad.

Also, Superman's torso is too small, which makes his arms look freakishly long. Not much to like here...

I kinda dig Darkseid. It reminds me of all the hilariously bad bootlegs.

I hope these end up looking better.. I mean I don't think they'll be releasing Superman with the sculpting clay in his elbow joints... although... this is Mattel.

These were just the early promo pictures that Mattel sends to retailers so they will buy into the wave (so they know what they look like). These were NOT the official publicity photos. I think we'll see quite a few changes to them.

That's like trying to sell a car by showing a picture of the metal frame on the assembly line.

Soo... People actually thought those were the actual final figures??
And yeah...i knew it wasn't a button.
I'm wondering if darkseid will be an oversized figure because at the size in the photo he wouldn't fit in the package..it may but the head would be behind cardboard. Also.. A new 52 darkseid that short would just be retarded.

A new 52 darkseid that short would just be retarded. I think it's that his legs are too short moreso than an oversized head. Either way, as it's shown is the only way I'd get one. The hilarity factor alone is worth the price. Well, at least once they hit discount.

honestly Mattel will be lucky if any major retailer picks these up. They should have done a a different line for the video game figures that could have helped them but at this point I think 2013 will be very very easy on my pockets, well except Disney Cars lol

D. I dunno Julius. They say that, but often times what we see in these pictures is what we get. And those are awful.
