MOD- Thought this should probably be split off onto it's own seeing as how these aren't exactly Brave and the Bold anymore...Hey, Brave and Bold Flash fans! Check the Ebay link to a curious item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/J76-DC-UNIVERSE ... 4ac0fe3a12Does anyone knew about this figure? Hurry and good shop. PS: I'm not the seller, and I'm not associated with him in any way.

PS: I'm not the seller, and I'm not associated with him in any way. Yeah, saw that also and posted on Matty about it last night. It looks like the Flash BATB figure without the hex holes and some new paint added to it. The seller has it listed as " "DC UNIVERSE JUSTICE LEAGUE NEW 52 FLASH 5" ACTION FIGURE". I wonder if some new figures are going to be released in the BATB style or that would fit with BATB figures. Or is this part of that Target exclusive they hinted at on Matty that was supposed to be released around March. http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8541044647/m/6831013457Interesting anyway. Here's a picture: I went ahead and bought one.

First Mattel figure I've seen in a while which I'd like to add to my collection. I like the Batman Brave and Bold figures. Lots of folks complained about the hex holes. Maybe this could lead to a whole line of new 52 based costumes in this style. I'd like to see them do a full new 52 Justice League in this style. I'd gladly add them to my B B and B figures.

The body buck was the same for all the male BTBatB figures and they all had those hex holes. Why make a new body buck without them now? For that matter why release new figures now when the TV show has been off the air for awhile?
Mattel should have made all the figures like this to begin with and used snap on armor instead of the hex holes they put in figures and the Batmobile.

I grabbed one, too. Thanks for the tip. It does seem really odd, but I'll buy anything from the BBTB line. I guess they want to take advantage of the old tooling, so I hope we see the release of the missing figures now.

I bet we'll find out at NYTF what this is. Probably a new JL line like the "Evergreen" Batman stuff we've been seeing, but utilizing some unused old Brave and the Bold prototypes.
Or...dare to dream...a preview of an all encompassing "DC Animated Line" hitting stores this summer? BWHAHAHHHAAA. Not likely.

Regards,
geoffdude Some of you guys really need to stop hating on the New52. There's some great stuff going on (Batgirl and Aquaman, in particular). While I still miss some of the classic 'verse (Secret Six and 80's Teen Titans), I'm on board for this incarnation. Plus, you know, it'll probably revert back sometime in the next five years.

Quote: Plus, you know, it'll probably revert back sometime in the next five years. Probably? Almost certainly, I'd guess. We'll see the "old" universes set up as part of a new multiverse, I suspect. It's already that way in MY head, which is why I don't get worked up about it. I do agree, however, that the new 52 costumes are almost universally awful, and I'm certainly not buying action figures that use them, UNLESS they're a continuation of a line I already follow/followed like BBTB (see how I brought that around to getting back on topic?).

And I'd definitely consider buying if they were characters that had not yet been made in that line whose style it was following.
nu52 Flash is a good start. nu52 Hawkman would be cool. Hal Jordan as Green Lantern (Hal, Sinestro and Guy Gardner as Green Lanterns were all part of the show). Cyborg with his new prominence is an easy guess. Blue Beetle gets a re-release due to his big use in Young Justice and the sculpt already existing. Robin Nightwing nu52 Superman nu52 Batman nu52 Aquaman Shazam in some form, either classic or nu52. Superboy
The tough thing is there is no female body for this line, so my bet is it stays all male characters. Bummer. If they did make a female buck, I bet they would stick to the big names: Wonder Woman Batgirl Supergirl maybe Wonder Girl if Super Best Friends Forever takes off. Catwoman
Actually, the above would make a pretty good line up. Add Kid Flash, Static and Aqualad and I'd be stoked.

If they don't do a robin I wonder how well the 4 inch power attack robin will fit in?

I wonder if this Flash is part of the "new" DC Superfriends stuff that DC and Mattel keep yammering about?

I find it odd that he's the only one that's showing up... If this is part of a new line you'd think at least one other character would have leaked...
