Ive always wondered about this (same with the Flash)-- maybe sometimes they just like to ride--- maybe hes just a biker at heart- and hopes that lois will wear the black leather and chaps and ride somewhere with him-- (without having to carry her around)

I mean yeah I understand its no real effort for him to fly but maybe he was just being lazy that day.... (even batman will watch cartoons or a movie every now and then)

And shame on you for NOT knowing THIS: That isn't Kal-El. It's actually Ultraman. and it isn't even really Kandor but a psychic projection of the Saturn Queen (it was a weird story).

Anyways... the story, as it was originally presented, was called Superman:Godfall and it featured Superman (not Ultraman)... in a new Kandor, trying to regain his memory and escape the Bottled City. Like with all things of that era... it was sorta, kinda, maybe in continuity; but not really. I think we were supposed to enjoy it at the moment, and then wait for all of it to change in one of those weekly Crisis thingies. Which, it probably did. So buyer be warned, you are not going to find Ultraman in this story. For that you need to look up some of the Supergirl issues where she dressed up as Nightwing. Or was it Flamebird? Ehh... who cares!!?!?!

Whoops, I confused it with the story where Power Girl and Supergirl go into Kandor as Nightwing and Flamebird.

That's okay. I wouldn't have been surprised if the whole thing got retconned into an Ultraman story.
After all, stranger things have happened.

I too found that tag. Took it to the scanner and can atest that it's not for the cycles. It read "Justice League License" 5-pack. But based on space and shelf space location... these things are going to be super tiny.

I found him at Target today so keep checking those shelves.
