If you preorder items from Amazon, when is your card charged?

When they ship.

The one thing that gets me though is that they feel this line will be huge mass commercial success but they shy away from a marvel univ like DC line.

I don't know about calling it a "mass commercial success". I mean... Mattel keeps saying that this line will be available at Toy's R Us and to online retailers; which is code for "Walmart & Target will not be carrying it." And those are two of the biggest retail partners Mattel has. So you know... seems like "success" will be dependent on how TRU feels about the line.

Awesome. I had these pre-ordered from BBTS, but they're $2 cheaper per item from Amazon, plus I got free shipping.

I love his line ... And the other Batman TV stuff I've seen ... Def like the mego-style line coming from FiguresToyCompany. :P

My concern is I haven't read any mention of Batgirl coming ... From any of the 1960's Batman stuff.

Anyone know ... Is there some prob getting the license for her?

Back in march I sent an e-mail to Yvonne Craig's official website asking about if we will get Batgirl merchandise of her.
This is the reply I got back:

"I am as yet not associated with the new Batman merchandizing plan. We have
spoken but have not come to terms that appeal to both of us. We’ll see.
Thanks for your interest.
Best,
Yvonne"

I have not read or heard of any changes, but hoping something can be worked out.

That doesn't sound promising. "Haven't come to terms that appeal to both of us..." which could mean they aren't offering her enough money for likeness rights, or she's asking for too much. Everyone else is on board, so I'd hate it if Craig is being difficult negotiating with them, or Mattel is being cheap about paying her compared to what the other actors got. This reminds me of how issues with Bill Murray kept holding up the Peter Venkman figure in Mattel's Ghostbusters line. :(

Man, no Batgirl ... That may be a deal breaker (for me) ... I totally think of Yvonne Craig/ Batgirl just as much as the caped crusaders when I think of the show.

I hope Batgirl is in the offerings. I know that the retro-line lists Batgirl as coming but that may be wishful thinking on their part, too.

Ideally Batgirl needs to be offered as an exclusive, either at SDCC or TRU sometime next year if this line continues further, and she should be paired up with her Batcycle. It would be a perfect set and I bet it would sell amazingly. If we can get the Batmobile as a TRU exclusive, then there's no excuse for not releasing her Batcycle. And including Batgirl exclusive with it would encourage sales.

I hope they'll make a Batgirl figure even if they don't get Yvonne Craig's likeness rights. I mean, she's wearing a mask, anyway, so half her face is covered to begin with. As long as they don't model the exposed facial features exactly on Craig, they should be fine. Neca is doing the same thing with their Robocop figures, because they don't have Peter Weller's likeness rights, and they still look great.

Ah, so that's why NECA has not released a helmetless Robocop yet (or one with removable helmet). I had been hoping and waiting for one of those. Oh well... :(

Didnt Mattel say they had licensing rights to everybody when they announced this line, am I misremebering or is this yet another false claim by Mattel..

because that was my initial question that they would have to get the rights to everybody seperately...

They said they had rights to the property, not necessarily to all the actors. I won't be surprised if Yvonne wants as much as what Adam West, the lead of the show and titular character, gets.
