I'm not surprised; just sad. Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not sure which thread you're referring. I did a scan of the boards and it seems pretty cryptic. Am I missing something? Thanks! Just the Mattel-All board here at AFI. There's boards for all kinds of lines, but no 3.75" lines. It just makes me sad.

So I googled the Injustice figures. The only ones I see I might be interested in are Green Arrow, Catwoman, and Penguin. Everything else I like what I have now better.

I think it is pretty much accepted that this is the 3.75 inch thread, after all, we are not JLU collectors who require 10 threads for each little variant that comes out. CCC.

I'm hoping one of those super-secret-SDCC-reveal lines contains one heck of a nice 3.75" surprise!

I'm still ticked DCIE never got a proper Aquaman. And no, the yellow gloved SDCC Starro exclusive pack doesn't count. Grumble, grumble. Guy Gardener gets multiple figures but the King of the Seas doesn't get a retail release at all?

What I can't figure out is why DCIH v1-style figs aren't still being released. They're only knees/elbows and waist joints away from the crappy MOS 3.75" line. Raise the MSRP $1 from whatever MOS/TDK is and include an extra villain and hero in every MOS/TDK case. No textured bodies, no big accessories.
I guarantee you that THOSE would be the ones to sell out the fastest while Day-Glo Superman #256 would still be warming pegs.

I have suggested before that the movie lines be used as an extension of the core DCIH line to release all of those characters related to the main title character, like an Alfred for Batman, Lois Lane for Superman, or Carol Ferris for Green Lantern. I wonder how much money Playmates lost because they didn't listen to me 20 years ago, and nobody has learned from that. It isn't like I am asking for royalties or anything, I just want to collect the figures! CCC.

Based on movies, comics, and games. Probably New 52 versions, though.

Well that was a fun 2 seconds before I decided to pass... I mean really Keaton Batman-- I was just thinking the other day-- my 3- 3/4 line feels incomplete-- whats missing Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Poison Ivy,-no Bob the Goon - that's who I need

At least the Arkham stuff is recognizable, as opposed to Injustice. I'll happily take an Azrael from that game.
What I absolutely don't understand is why they're marketing this as "Multiverse." Outside of comics fans, who knows what that means? A "Batman: Arkham Origins" line with a game-specific wave and a "comic series" wave would sell like gangbusters and then be done. The next wave could be "Superman: Neck-Snapper of Justice!" or something that people would remember.
Don't get me wrong: I want "deep cuts" characters and non-movie characters, too. But it seems to me that cross-promotion is the way to go, and "Multiverse" doesn't get that as a name. It also means that MV W3 holds up MV W4, while B:AO W3 does NOT hold up S:NSoJ W1.

Oh, and to use the Arkham license and not give us Penguin and Riddler in 4" right away is crazy, IMO.

I remember very well SDCC 2010 when they quietly and discreetly swept DCIH out the door, while showcasing 3 packs that never made it to retail. They even took those figures OUT of the glass case after the Mattel panel.
And then the JLU collectors here laughed at us. And then it happened to them a year later. And now it has happened to the DU Classics collectors (at retail). Atleast JlU collectors got their stuff and DCUC collectors have something with the subscription. We never got that Batgirl, Hawkgirl, Harley, Superman and 1st Appearance Batman. That still stings.
I'm not going to support this goofy new line. Seriously, they're axing the Movie Masters for those?
I admit, I want to get that Mr. Freeze. Absolutely. And I like the Azrael. But I already have these video game figures in ANOTHER SCALE. I'm going to start over in another scale? no way. I'd totally buy a Michelle Phiefer catwoman but I'm not going all in.
