That's like some good-ol fashioned 2004 prices. There seems to be a whole new mission on pricing for action figures. Offering lower prices but with less bells and whistles and articulation. More back-to-basics. yes, that is true.

So here is my question. If Mattel thinks they can sell a 6" figure for $9.99 at retail why not continue DCUC at retail just with less articulation? You could get rid of:
Wrist articulation-2 Stomach articulation-1 Strange thigh articulation-2 Ankle articulation-1
and there ya go 14 POA left.

I actually like the look of these figures. At $10 a pop I might give them a try.

These look like bootleg figures. But well made bootlegs.

I would like to see these done in the 4" scale.
Who else would like to see a 4" scale Total Heroes line to finally follow up DC Infinite Heroes with a small scale DC Universe?

DC Collectibles is currently making 4" figures based on the INJUSTICE video game. They also have the 4" Green Lantern figures that have been Comic-Con exclusives. They have not announced any ongoing 4" line based on the DC Universe.

I think that Zipline Batman has not enough articulation. I would reduce the DCUC articulation down to what the Total Heroes have. Eliminate the ab-crunch, biceps and thigh swivels.

These things look like the 10 inch (?) Flash they made a few years back for SDCC just smaller.
I hate the feet. First thing I looked at was the feet and I hate them. Also the knee pads things. or just the hyper protruding knee bone is awful. I really don't care for these at all but I do think its interesting that they are potentially doing blanks for people to make customs with, but seriously does anyone see any real value in that?

Broken Record Time Don't forget ankles-- if you are going to eliminate POA always start with the ankle articulation-- which ends up making figures stand like POS.

Rebooting the 6" style and not continuing DCUC is a GOOD idea for Mattel. DCUC has reached a point where at retail all of the A list characters have been done and re-done. This way they get to redo all of the popular characters again. It sucks but it's smart.
I'm fine with my DCUC versions so i doubt I'll be buying any of these.
